The Unusual Pet Vets Ferntree Gully
Was very pleased to be helped and reassured when one of my beloved guinea pig girlies was not up to par. My local vet recommended The Unusual Pet Vets to me. So off we went. The facilities are designed to accommodate what are called ‘exotics’. The vets are specialists in these animals as opposed to domestic or farm animals. Dr Cathy was very thorough and prescribed the medication that was required to fix the issue. We would not hesitate to return if the need arose.

Absolutely Amazing vet. Took my Angora boy there for the HOP Start package and such a lovely experience. Staff were kind and informative and always kept contact. The package itself pricey but 100% worth it with what you get and the service you are shown. Will be taking all my little animals to this vet for now on

I accompanied my sister and my niece today, to give them moral support as they had to say goodbye to their little Guinea pig pet. He was very ill and was in a lot of pain, there's nothing that can be done for the little one. The Vet was so compassionate, spoke so gently, kindly and was full of empathy through the whole process. We choose to take the little one afterwards for burial, as oppose to being cremated. I'd highly recommend going to this vet, as everyone deserves warmth getting through challenging moments such as this, when we need to say goodbye to a fur baby.

Genuine care, caring staff, they keep you up-to-date with what tests and why they are undertaking, very approachable when we asked them questions about out pets diet and health. Very natural with pets. We even received check in calls to check in on our pets health which we really appreciated. The previous place we had been to was total opposite of this and so really want to highlight how Genuine this place was.

We have gone to the UPV multiple times with our rabbits and piggies and they have been so so lovely each visit. They are so caring and full of knowledge which they pass on. Couldn’t recommend higher. Dr Sharon and Dr Cathy have been fantastic with all our fur babies.

This morning, I contacted the Unusual Pet Vets, Ferntree Gully and was immediately put at ease by nurse Ellen who took my call regarding a lump on my Guinea pig’s lower back. She had her thoughts and how I could treat at home, but was very accommodating to make a same day appointment. We saw Dr Cathy Wong and her thorough examination and diagnosis with a treatment at home plan, gave us the absolute confidence that our piggies are in excellent and caring, expert hands. I'm extremely grateful to Dr. Zoe and their team. They are not only inmensly capable and professional but also compassionate and understanding. I went with my silkie Agnes and a heavy heart because she's everything to me and I didn't know what to expect.Dr. Zoe works with excellence and has the biggest heart, I know that my little chicken was in the best hands. The RSPCA recommended we take our rabbit to Melbourne Rabbit Clinic due to the mysterious death of another rabbit. Dr Cathy Wong put in a huge effort to gather the evidence, analyse it and come up with the likely cause of death. She gave us peace of mind that our surviving rabbit is in fine health and suggested some dietary changes to ensure ongoing health. She also provided surprising advice about how to find the right bunny companion to keep our rabbit company. We were most impressed by Cathy's super-thorough consultation, expert advice and compassionate manner. We are so glad we found Melbourne Rabbit Clinic.

The Unusual Pet Vets Ferntree Gully
This morning we had an accident with one of our rats that left us needing to see a vet urgently. From the first moments on the phone to discharge today I cannot speak highly enough of how we were taken care of. We were seen quite quickly, felt taken care of the entire time, updated on how things were going and we left feeling like out rat had amazing care and we have a great plan for recovery. Dr. Cathy and Vet Nurse Ellen took such great care of all of us.
