What a bridge. It gets you from one side to the other with no problems. I have only been on the Sydney Harbour Bridge once or twice, and this comes close to the experience, and also in length, only 46m shorter than it's nsw friend! There is lots of history behind it when ya read up on it too, so quite interesting.

Unsung icon of the burdekinpoint of interest - its marginally shorter than the sydney harbour bridge by around 50m. keep your eyes on the road when crossing behind the wheel - there is very little distance between yourself and oncoming traffic - don't even think of speeding across this bridge.Arachnophobes beware - there are thousands of spiders that have made this bridge their home , you'll see them on the pedestrian walkway across the bridge. If you are heading north the pedestrian access is on the right handside. Check out my pictures of the pedestrian walkways. You can access the pedestrian walkway on the northern side too there are parks on the left hand side a few hundred meters from the bridge. When approaching from the north you'll see a wide old asphalt road to the left of the highway curving off to the left. Take that road and staying parallel to the highway the road will take you to a defacto parking area.Look for bridge access marker stone" on google maps and the app might just lead you there. When you are done go to the nearby servo for food and drink to celebrate your walk on the bridge !"
