Unfortunately I had a poor experience with Smithies. They don't understand customer satisfaction is everything. When questioned on it I was kept waiting for a response for 1.5 weeks and then needed to remind them I'm still waiting. If I wanted any discount because of my poor experience I would need to purchase from them again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.I would advise everyone to go elsewhere if you want Ironman equipment. Very poor management! Very poor customer service!

Got a new front bar and GVM upgrade kit fitted to my Suzuki Jimny and the team at Smithies had great customer service. Barry and Ashley were there to help at any time if I had any questions, queries or problems. Definitely the place to go for Ironman 4x4 products.

Absolutely stoked with the results on my VW Amarok. I was a little apprehensive about spending nearly 10k on accessories but from the first contact with the manager Michelle, I felt comfortable handing over my car and my cash to them and their workshop. Michelle managed to procure an electric hard lid when they were out of stock nationwide by ringing around other stores and also removed my existing canopy and made it easy for me to sell it and refitted it for the buyer. I felt the entire team bent over backwards to achieve the results I wanted, from the owners to the mechanics, everyone was knowledgeable and helpful and all worked together to deliver a flawless result. Smithies Outback Team are the best, great to deal with, no Bullsh!t and straight to the point, delivered the right way. Barry is an absolute champion and is a real pleasure to deal with. I have had my pajero sport and isuzu dmax worked on there... and they do a great job.

I dropped in for a general browse and was really impressed by the prices (very competitive) and the knowledge these guys have. As a result I will be getting some mechanical work done by them. They were very helpful and they provided heaps of advice, all of which was spot-on and without the bias I have seen at some other places.

Thank you for rescuing our weekend away! We were heading out for a weekend away with the cruiser loaded up with all our gear, when suddenly the engine warning light came on and the heat indicator was on max and smoke was pouring out of the engine....we were extremely lucky that this happened outside Smithies Outback Gear in Pakenham. ..we ran in to see if they could help and they were so helpful....came across the road to have a look, got us into their workshop and repaired the heater line hose and now we are back on the road instead of heading home in a tow truck! What amazing service thanks guys! So friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Total legends over there at Smithies, they handled my brand new Dmax Xterrain faultlessly. The installed a 2” lift kit and looked after the Ute like it was one of their own cars. They had it for the exact time they said they would and it was all done perfectly. Rides like a dream and looks mint. Can’t recommend them enough.
