Parkes Swimming Pool

The pool is a wonderful way to cool off on a hot steamy day or for general exercise. Recently upgraded the quality and freshness of the water is very noticeable. Kids pool also looks good. Grounds are lovely with enough seating and trees for shade. There is also a bbq available for patrons so possible to take a picnic and enjoy a family lunch. Only criticism is that they don't recognize seniors as being worthy of a reduced entrance fee which appears to be am exception for as a senior I have found other council pools do acknowledge seniors and provide discount for entry accordingly. Disappointing Parkes doesn't do the same. It may encourage more older people to utilise a wonderful local community facility which could benefit all parties.

Was offered teaching observation to support my reaccred process. Thought my class teacher was excellent and I benefitted from the day. People were so friendly wherever I went at the Pool. The Supervisor was welcoming and made it easy for me to join in as a Volunteer. Finally sorted out the documents! Noone seemed to mind at all that I am older and showed positive attitude that I want to help adult beginners. I had fun today. Thank you Parkes Pool.

Very clean, decent size and have lap lanes

Olympic size pool. Has Lane swimming. Free entry! Water was clean and clear.

Wonderful and clean. My toddler had a lovely time. There is also a little kiosk where you can get hot and cold food. Make sure you phone ahead on week days so that you don’t end up down there when it’s reserved for school children.

Very fair entry fee. We had a fantastic time. Even had our lunch near the pool. Everything looked well maintained. Crowded due to hot day but the experience was really nice regardless. Nice shady area to rest and relax as well. Kids pool area is awesome for families with kids. Highly recommended.

10am opening for a pool is pretty poor.

Excellent Olympic pool plus a kids splash/pool area and playground with a canteen for ice creams or hot snacks.Just whats needed on a 35 degree summers day.

Awesome new staff/ returning staff. Loving the job that the new company are providing.
