Short walk to a great lookout.There is no fence and a sheer drop so be careful with kids.

We took a detour on the way home from Warwick and were not disappointed. An adventurous road which was fun to drive, and if you make it up to The Governors Chair you will be rewarded with a spectacular view after a short walk.

Great view, only a short uphill walk from the top carpark. BUT the steep dirt/rock road up to it was atrocious. Glad I had a big 4WD, and that the boulder strewn road wasn't any worse. There are better views around, with easier access.

Some of the walks aren't graded and some of the old tracks aren't marked.The loop around Mount Mathieson from the camp area then to the Heritage trail, the lookout and back to the camp made for a nice, longish walk. Some of the views were spectacular and the flora exceptional.Must book a camp site through QLD National Parks.
