Anchorage General Store

Had a chat to the owner and got some recommendations. Helpful as in he stocked a couple of local wines and beers from the island

Whenever we visit here we love to walk to the general store and always the owners and staff make you very welcome and to support the local produce. Outstanding

A very good general store right next to Anchorage caravan park. Sells groceries, liquor, fuel, ice, etc. In operation since 1957.

For anyone looking for a cheap and convenient camp site on Philipp Island in the busy season: the Anchorage Store offers accommodation (powered and unpowered tent sites, caravan sites and cottages) in a cute little Holiday Park right behind the General Store/Service Station in Ventnor. The Holiday Park offers BBQ facilities, a small kitchen, a laundry room (washing machines and dryers), showers and bathrooms and you can buy a cup of coffee at the store in the mornings. Perfect: Everything you need on a camping trip. This place is my tip for everyone who is looking to stay on Philipp Island and is struggling to find affordable accommodation. The lovely people running the store and Holiday Park were super friendly. I truly enjoyed my time at Anchorage!

Always great, clean store friendly staff & they sell a wide variety of things, you don't really need to go into town
