Mooney Street Veterinary Surgery

We brought our 11 month old GS X Rotty in as he was incredibly poorly - we wanted him fixed… Vet took a quick look and spent the rest of his time on the computer and tells us if he wasn’t so young then I’d say it’s cancer but here’s some antibiotics and see how he goes… he died 2 days later after we rushed him to an Emergency Vet where they actually cared, actually did tests and were actually able to help our boy. I know the outcome wouldn’t have changed for our boy as it was aggressive cancer but maybe if there was a slight bit of interest or compassion shown then we would’ve known sooner and could’ve spent the precious time with our boy knowing he didn’t have long left. I would never recommend this vet due to extreme lack of compassion and interest but still happy to charge.

Went to this place with a lost dog I found, the receptionist was really helpful but the veterinarian man came out super stressed and was asking her who I was and said “well we have customers waiting so” he was super irritated, then the receptionist telling me they can’t find his chip in their system so to go somewhere else, I don’t blame her though if he was talking to me like that. I took the dog to another vet and they said he probably just didn’t want to have to deal with a lost dog which seems disgusting to me and not empathetic at all, would not take my dog here to someone who only cares about the money and has no empathy for dogs.

Excellent care from Arthur and all the ladies for my babies. Grooming service for my girl perfect for this hot weather.

Almost everyone there was friendly and interested in us since it was our first visit. Sadly the vet was cold to deal with and felt very clinical. I have a puppy that he approached for the first time with absolutely no signs of playfulness, love or attention (something the puppy would respond to) and he growled. The vet took that as a sign and then beat down the drum of negativity about my new pup and his breed. Whilst this is important for people to be warned of, it left me wondering why this guy would spend 10 minutes practically talking me out of my new best mate.Very disappointed.

Great service. Love the residents cats there. They make time for a walk in visit for mtly cat first visit despite them being very busy.Will recommend

We recently moved to the area and Mooney St Vets came highly recommended and after two visits I know why! Absolutely stoked with everyone there, all staff there were wonderful. Arthur Woo is my favourite vet so far, a quiet tenderness that shows in his thorough work. There is no bull, I don’t feel like I’m being bullied in to spending more money with them.You can tell how much he cares for the animals and my dogs have never been so relaxed arriving, during and leaving a vet. We are so grateful we found this team, thank you!!!
