Lakes Entrance Central Bistro
Meals were over priced , service was ok .My main meal was forgotten , I ordered sea food pasta . Prawns , scallops and muscles. Got 6 muscles . 3 scallops and 1.5 prawns cut in half .For 32 dollars .No offer of cheese and no apology offered for forgetting the meal and subsequent wait .

Do not book a table by the toilet door. Window seating is popular, but if you wait a bit you could get one. Scallops were a bit dissapointing, 3 very small Scallops on a shell x 2 shells ie: 6 small Scallops total. I loved my Gummy Shark though. The banoffee spring rolls were also a bit dissapointing. Couldn't recommend them. Otherwise, an enjoyable venue.

Lakes Entrance Central Bistro
Had dinner here twice during the Easter weekend. Meals were exceptional. Had the roasted charmoula coated pumpkin and the creamy pasta prawn spaghetti. Hubby had the seafood spaghetti and the scallops. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

The chowder was very good but the seafood spaghetti a little disappointing as I had 5 big mussels and a few bits of calamari. Not real fussed on mussels but that's my taste . The staff were friendly and the service was quick.

Yum! Yum! Yum! Ordered three specials for lunch and four of us were all amazed at the flavor and the freshness of the ingredients. Simply amazing! Lovely attentive service!

Disappointed as there is winner stickers outside for dining awards. I ordered the special. Admittedly it was from 2017/2018/2019. Then covid.Duo of Fish. I hadn’t even sat down after ordering & my meal came out. The chips were cold. The fish was soggy & the salad wasn’t dressed. I left hungry & disappointed ☹️

This place was very busy, however staff managed to fit us in for lunch. We had the fish and chips with salad, one of the best I gave ever had. Service was welcoming, and meals were promptly delivered.

Lakes Entrance Central Bistro in Central HotelVisited on the 9/3/2021We are a group of seniors, and sitting on high stools is a definite no, no for most of us. We were not keen to sit outside in the pavement, especially the sun was rather glary.One section of the bistro is empty, and could be used as overflow, but a waitress told us that the area was to be used for the morning breakfast guests.With a bit of persuasion, the waitress set the table rather grudgingly. Well, in fact we said we could reset the table after use.If it was not for that hiccup, I would have given it 5 stars.The ambience was good, and the dining was spacious, probably due to restrictions on social distancing.The dishes were very well presented. Although I ordered my steak rare, it was cooked to more like medium.Overall, we were satisfied with quality of the meals.

The warm salad was a joke, served up entrée size, what a rip off. Steak dry and overcooked. Scollops on menu but they ran out.
