“AMAZING ! UNEXPECTED”AMAZING ! We arrived from Swansea , we had booked straight to the Classic Cottage website because it was a REAL website , made by real people ; it has feeling and the Classic cottage was the same ; Huon pine kitchen , delightful wood flooring , beautiful fireplace , very old perfect bed ( we slept in for the first time in our trip in Tasmania ) , native bush around with signs telling what they are , birds , wallabies in the evening and the plants...AMAZING .Cabin is very clean, the kitchen had must more then we expected , the bathroom is huge ; the lounge has wild ocean views ; Denis gave us some rods and told us where to fish , we had a really good time. The Van at the Blowhole was a great change and we loved it ; beautiful fish and chips for $10 , we couldn't finish it and the ice cream YUMMY ! Thanks Denis for all . We be back with our 2 dogs this time.

I'd mistakenly made and payed for a booking on the wrong dates and, when I contacted Denis and Raquel, they immediately refunded the booking and made good suggestions for other places we could stay in the area as the dates we actually wanted to stay with them were unfortunately already booked. Their communication and understanding is outstanding and I wish we could've made it on the dates I'd booked.I'd recommend them to anyone for their honesty and integrity.

We stayed there in February 2014 and have booked already for July this year at the original Classic Cottage .We want to use the wood fire . It was all we wanted , Cosy , clean , with all we needed. We slept so well.Private , very quiet , has all we wanted. No television was a bonus ...Denis provided us with a lot of info's and even send us to a fishing spot where my husband caught plenty of different fishes .The info's that we received before getting there helped us a lot , like the directions.They are walks all around the old cottage.Thank you Denis and Raquel.

Wow - lacking cleanliness, bug spray would have been highly appreciated, VERY outdated decor, no WiFi or TV - Telstra 4G reception was decent though, the only pros I appreciated were the newer shower and of course the location within 10 minutes of Port Arthur. Overall, I will not be staying here again.

We just stayed at this place a few days ago after having been to the Falls Festival . We loved it and have rebooked for next year already . It is not a room but a big , old house full of history , total waterfront , with all we needed for a great sleep and wash. Very peaceful , facing the Ocean , great value for the 8 of us and so much wildlife all around at night .Very clean , fresh flowers , dishwasher ,wood fire we lit , great patio and water views and free internet ( a bit slow ).Denis , the manager was so helpful , even told us how to see the penguins the lazy way , send us for $10 fish and fresh fish at the Blowhole van .Our best souvenir of 8 days in Tasmania and next year we will stay longer ...

We enjoyed our stay in the 100 year old miners cottage and it was relaxing during our 2 nights stay last year in May 2021. It is about a 5 minute drive into town and we have stayed there a few times now. It is cosy with the log fire, queen bed was comfortable, mod cons and went for a walk when tide was out by the lake.

Great place to stay when checking out the Port Arthur Historic Site (which is only a short drive away). Clean and exceptionally cozy with a great settlers cottage feel and views over a calm bay. Friendly, kind and relaxed owners who made sure we felt at home.

We booked for 2 nights and stayed 4a few days ago ; The Port Arthur Cottage is a large house , we had our own drive , garden.House is very bright ,very clean. Wood fire keep us very warm. We had games to play and Dvd's.we were very close to Port Arthur and The National park tooDenis had printed a list of all activities around Port Arthur and we were not able to do All ...We loved the area , the Cottage , Denis & Raquel , the sound of the birds , the fresh air.We booked already for a week next year.
