SKG Radiology Victoria Park

Medical receptionist was extremely blunt and disinterested, then the radiologist had no consideration that a suspected broken toe may be a little bit painful. I understand the job needed to be done but a little bit of a gentle touch would be appreciated by many people.The only perk is that I was only in the facility for 15 minutes. The job was done quickly and thank god for that.

Usually quiet compared to other SKG locations. Doesn't offer the full range of services that are available at hospital SKG locations.No appointment needed for X-rays. Other services need to be booked which can be done online or by phone. Arrive 15 minutes before your booked appointment time.There are two entrances to get to SKG on the first floor. One is on Sussex Street and is wheelchair accessible with an elevator. The other entrance is through the carpark next to the building and has stairs.The carpark immediately next to the building is private property. Instead use the street parking available opposite the building which is free for 30 minutes. (Make sure you get a ticket from the machine since parking inspectors check regularly) Other parking spaces are over the road in the Park Centre carpark.

Absolutely rude and unprofessional. Are not upfront about policies and making a cancer patient pay the full account weeks in advance of the appointment despite informing them of financial and health situation. I advised there was a mistake in text message but to no avail. Do not go here. they are uncaring, rude and nonchalant and will make you feel disgusting and a person to not treat. Other reception ladies are rude as well. Extremely uncaring despite my financial situation and making you feel like you’re on some bad list for not doing anything wrong. I felt like I’m on a hit list of SKG and a long term client that’ll take business to the superior PRC. The ladies are grumpy old women. AVOID!!!

Absolutely poor practice and consistency in providing patients/customers information. Website says bulk billed except some exception ms (not listed nor linked). Prior to my ultrasound (12week scan) I decided to call ahead (3 hours prior to appointment) to be aware of any costs involved. Receptionist clearly stated that there was no cost and was bulk billed as long as no additional procedures were completed (use of injections etc). It was made clear again that if it was a general ultrasound that was no cost.Went for my appointment and was said that it would be $110 after Medicare rebate. That is an extreme contrast in information (FROM THE SAME CLINIC AND RECEPTIONIST).Obviously not worth contesting as the scan was already booked in for. Fortunately I can afford it. What if I couldn't? How is this considered good practice?BE CONSISTENT AND ACCURATE. Please.It's clear from the reviews this is one of many types of poor service and simple communication.AVOID.

Friendly and professional service from all receptionists and stenographer Hilary. 30 minutes from my home but very happy to travel there :) Thank you

I'm not sure why this place has such a low rating! I went in with low expectations, but every person I spoke to from the reception staff, ultrasound tech and doctor was so lovely! I was in and out really quickly and the staff were really friendly and encouraging.

Front desk ladies are very kind and helpful, over the phone and face to face. This is my second time there, I had very good experience the first time but today radiologists were in a rush speaking super fast giving me directions while my toddler was crying scared by the equipment, one of them just trow the security vest on my head and pulled it down including my hair bun and earrings while I was undressing my scared baby in my arms it was so stressful and kind of rud.

Have been there on three occasions and found front office receptionist and persons who completed my scans to be professional and prompt. Quite happy.Frank Ferr -Manning

The reception staff is so unprofessional. I called 1 month in advance for an anatomy ultrasound (20 weeks pregnant) and they said they don't make appointments 1 month in advance and to call in 2 weeks time. After calling when Andrea, the manager there, told me to call, they were fully booked and the girl who informed me about it was very disrespectful. Also, when I had my first scan there, they sent me a link that never worked, so basically I couldn't show my obstetrician any pictures of the baby. Mentioning that this was a very important scan when they had to determine if the baby develops normally.

The practice manager manning the reception is incredibly rude in attitude and lacking in her service level.She has definitely soured my overall experience with SKG.A little compassion and tact would go a long way - it appears she derives pleasure from power tripping in her management role.Treating patients with such disdain has no place in contemporary medical practice.
