A rather special menu and meal. We decided to choose our own dishes and boy they are delicious.The boss man was superb and helpful, the whole team super efficient.We are only in Bendigo for a short time but super pleased we ate here!We ate soft shell crab sandwich, corn strip's (so good), chook boa buns and lamb noodles. Forgive my description is very simple, the actual dishes are very elegant!

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time! We visited Bendigo in January, and stopped by The Dispensary for an evening cocktail.This quaint bar is a standout in service and experience. We were served by a passionate gentleman (I'm not sure if he was the owner, or just an exceptional staff member), who happily made recommendations and told us all about the various cocktails and their ingredients.My partner ordered a spicy margarita, which he raved about! What made our experience even better was being told about the different liquor used in it, where it was sourced, and how they were made.Just fabulous service filled with passion!I can also highly recommend their mocktails for those who aren't drinkers or are driving.As we visited quite late, we didn't experience their food, so that will be something for next time.This is definitely going to be somewhere we will visit again when we come to Bendigo next, and I have already recommended it to others.

First time visiting Bendigo and was recommended The Dispensary by a friend. We thought we'd give it a go after reading a few reviews online, we were not disappointed. The food (especially the scallops & crab/caviar spring rolls) and service were exceptional. Finn, owner/server was legendary. His knowledge of the area, food and general chat really made the night for us, we'll be back :)

Very interesting and delicious cocktails, came in afternoon on our anniversary, it was very relaxed and enjoyable. Clear that the owner has good taste (the chilli margarita was to die for), can't wait to come back one day and try the food as well !

We came here on a busy Friday night and were lucky to grab a seat at the bar. The service was outstanding – very friendly, especially the bartender, who made some impressive cocktails! We tried a few of the vegetarian dishes (tofu, corn ribs, cucumber salad, and cauliflower), all stunning both in taste and presentation.

Amazing experience! Everything is perfect, balance-wise and full of flavor! Got the Dispensary Experience and got about 7 courses meal and desserts. Worth every penny and the service was friendly and beautiful.

A major find… just goes to show how Google ratings are very helpful…in town for the day and very pleased I came in here… great location in Laneway… very attentive service with some great food and wine options… the zucchini flowers were great… planning to visit town again especially to come here

One of the best should I say fine dining experience in Bendigo.Food is in contemporary Fusion as French influence selected wines with a touch of extravaganza awesome cocktails .Knowledgeable and funky staff combined to create fussy but cosy service.Well done mates....

Had lunch. Great service, made welcome soon as we stepped inside. Seat provided with menu and mini drinks list. Also handed the extensive Cocktail, wine and beer list. Chose the Happy Hour menu 6 courses. The recommendations for wine came once they did some research on our individual tastes. Spot on also matching food. Sweets, cheese coffee and a muscat. Perfect. We will be back!!!
