Kuranda Pet Resort

I have left my two doggies there several times now.My dogs come back to me , clean happy and relaxed every time.Staff are friendly, requests are generally able to be fulfilled.It's complete peace of mind for me being able to go on vacation and KNOW my dogs are in a safe secure location, are being well looked after and happy.Thoroughly recommend Kuranda Pet Resort to anyone needing accommodation for your pet....

Riley (cattle dog cross) enjoyed it so much he did not want to come home! We have booked him in again for Apr 2023.

Very troubled about this place. huge difference compared to another boarding kennel nearby which has warmth, compassion and people contact..KPR was cold too businesslike...it took me 6 days to speak with someone, to finally show me pics of my 2 dogs to show proof of life which I demanded as they were no pics of them on FB but they had pics of other dogs, when I asked them on phone which took forever for someone to answer, they replied abruptly that they were busy which I in turn emailed them asking for pics.We picked up our dogs and they were not happy little dogs, were they actually taken our from their cages? exercised had ppl contact?I only put sad confused faces on their FB pages and now they blocked me on FB.That's not going to better their Boarding kennels business. Then they send me a rather scathing email telling us off and it's all about them and how busy they were..and not about the dogs!!!As far as we are concerned, they lack empathy, warmth.

Gone to the dogs. For six days we were unable to contact KPR by phone or email. Eventually they responded, claiming a staffing shortage, and that both our dogs were happy and had made a friend. When we collected them they were whimpering and obviously stressed. Given the dogs behavior, what staff told us and none of the usual fb photos, we believe that they were confined to their small enclosure for the entire ten days. Not good enough. We won't be back.

Very clean kennels; understanding and compassionate crew who display a real commitment to making sure the dogs are well cared for.

We are staying near Cairns with friends for two months and bumped into a lovely doggo owner who recommended Kuranda Pet Resort for the weekends we are going out on the Reef. Harriet, our doggo, is a young Bull Arab X who is deaf and vision impaired and she had such a lovely stay. The owners and staff were so caring and friendly and when I picked her up, she was so happy. She made friends with another vision impaired doggo which made me so happy.I highly recommend Kuranda Pet Resort and Harriet is going back for another stay in two weeks.

What a truly wonderful experience for Vinnie. He was a guest at KPR for two weeks which he clearly enjoyed. Right from our very firstcontact upon booking Vinnie until collecting him this afternoon everything has been so professional , so reassuring. Vinnie was extremely excited when I collected him and seemed to bark excitedly when he reached our car. Would not hesitate in going back and highly recommend their business

Friendly service that is only outdone by the care they have for my boy.I feel totally at ease leaving him here, knowing he is well looked after.
