Dovetail on Overend
this cafe is nicely situated in the corner street. my friend and i went here on a weekday, it was quiet and relaxing. nice place to chill out with friends combined with good food and drinks. we enjoyed and loved the mocha and chocolate drinks and since it is a specialty coffee shop, we will definitely come back to try their coffee on our next visit, hopefully on a weekend to have their cakes and pastries as well.

Food From The Heart...Arrived in Brisvegas after a morning cruise down from the Sunny Coast to stay with some besties and was in desperate need of a morning feed.How incredibly advantageous that only a stroll away was Dovetail.A subtle wooden framed doorway was in fact the gateway to a little slice of local heaven.Owner Adam greeted our friend Chris with a smile as we were introduced.The menu was entirely GF (as Adam also being a Coeliac) which was welcomed with open arms after some not so nice experiences up north with venues claiming to be understanding of our dietary requirements but not.I ordered the Adobo Bowl. The warmth and depth of flavours were rich & wholesome, a recipe I learnt was past down from his Philippines father in-law.If things couldn't get any better, they did. Say hello to the Yamington Donuts".No explanation needed other than; you must try these for yourself.So glad we are here for two more days."

Alright coffee, cold service. Went there first thing in the morning when they had no customers but me and it seemed the gentleman serving me was not happy I was there. It doesn’t take much to be nice, specially when your customer is nice to you.

Amazing coffee, brilliant food and all of the staff which served us were caring and lovely to talk too. There are ample gluten-free options and as of now it does not come at an extra cost, which is a bonus. The meal which I ate was balanced with flavors. The long black coffee which I got was great as the beans used were of high quality.Will be going back very soon and I recommend you go too!

Very nice little cafe in Norman Park. We had coffee, a Rueben and the Caponata. The coffee is brilliant and the food was a also very nice, but the serving size is a little small. Very friendly service by a passionate owner. Very much looking forward to coming back here again soon.

Whenever we’re in town we always visit this cafe. We live in Copenhagen but my wife is from Brisbane, it was one of her favourite cafes when she lived here and remains one today, despite it being more than 16,000km away.

A really lovely local cafe with a great sense of community. Great service and fun sweets. As they’re fully GF unfortunately there is no oat milk but this is clearly stated on the menu.

Lives up to the hype. Tiny little spot with great coffee and food. I was having a particularly rough Friday, but the atmosphere was peaceful, the service was welcoming and the food was comforting. We had brunch then took some donuts home with us, and I was genuinely surprised by how delicious they were. So good that we came back a couple of weeks later for more donuts to share with family.
