Fixed an electrical issue with my coaster bus and found and replaced a dodgy headlight I didn’t even know had blown. Great service

Absolutely terrible. The alternator on my boat malfunctioned so I bought a new one in Airlie Beach for about $250. I thought I would try and fix the old one as a spare but with my few tools I couldn't get it opened so I took it to Miles Auto. I asked the man (I suppose he is Bruce Miles) if he could fix it. Yes" he said. No mention that it would cost as much as a new one. I also said that as it was a spare

Avoid at all costs

I went to Miles Auto Electrical to get some work done. The reception area looked like a dog's breakfast, there was an alternator on the front counter and it was really dusty. The guy who greeted me was callous and rude, he seemed disinterested. He did the work, which I timed, took just over half an hour, but he charged me 80 dollars for some soldering, total rip off. A day later, the issue came back, so I went back and I told him about it. He said he'd have to look into it further, the next day, because he was busy, but it wasn't under a guarantee from the work he did originally, so he couldn't guarantee he wouldn't charge me more. The place also has signs that say they will keep your car if you don't pay and all damage is at the owner's risk. Obviously they don't care for their customers, their customer service is atrocious, typical Mackay auto worker crap, they have a monopoly so they do what they want. You're better off going to another place.Absolute rip off.

Car was taken in to have left headlight wiring looked at, it was explained it had a new globe replaced and must be the wiring.we called in afternoon to see how things were going and was told he hadn’t solved the problem and wanted $300 for a new globe which we already replaced . Upon getting car home it was noticed two dents in the car that were where he was working. Totally unprofessional and incompetent, avoid at all costs.

Urgently needed a starter motor repaired for a very old motor in a forklift. Dropped it off at 8am and recieved a phone call at 9am it was working and ready to pick up. Thank you Miles Auto.

I recently had problems with my thermostat gauge not working all the time in my 120 series prado. The problem was not able to be fixed without replacing all the gauges. Bruce gave me the advice and option to install an after market gauge instead at a much reduced price compared to replacing the dash cluster. It works great and looks good to. The price was less than I expected and all the work was completed on the same day. Thank you Bruce and the miles auto electrical team. I’ll be recommending you to my friends and work mates. I’m looking at buying some spot lights so I’ll be booking in again soon. Cheers

good old school service, our alternator gave up whilst on holiday, these guys managed to fix it on the the day, thanks heaps!

EDIT: the aircon regas lasted 5 days. Bruce did a super dodgy job on our aircon. Five days after the regas, we had to PULL OVER on the side of a highway because the gas started leaving a valve he installed. This is criminal incompetence and a total scam. Called him- was told it’s a coincidence it’s failed right after he touched it.$242 for an aircon regas. Need I say more? Not an assessment. Not a repair. No parts used. A regas. Gas only.Absolutely miserable ripoff. Dissed my car on pickup for an issue not relevant to the transaction whatsoever, just a random dig.Go literally anywhere else.

Completely over priced and rude staff. Was looking my air conditioning looked at on my ute, so i rang Bruce and he said bring it round. He rang me two days later and said he’s had to replace the whole unit which is about $200. Picked up today with a bill for over $700, I demanded to see the parts receipt and he said he didn’t have it. Tell you one thing I’d rather sweat in my next car than use this business again.
