Balaclava Radiology

Clinic was clean however they give you a CD disc to view your imaging or your scan which can be very challenging to access unless you have a devise laying around from the early 2000s. Not sure why they couldn’t do this in any modern way.

How did I not know about Balaclava Radiology sooner!!!Over the past few years I've had that many CT's, MRI's, Ultrasounds in various places and then I came across this place.The friendliest, warmest, professional staff in beautifully appointed rooms.Will never go anywhere else again!

The place has potential but the male who tesnded on my knee is a character out of Curb your Enthusiasm. When i subsequently enquired whether a female could tend to my liver ultrasound i was advised that all the females are currently on maternity leave and that i should try the Capital..

My referral was not very clear but Diedre & Lana were so very helpful in ringing up the Hospital, then letting me have my scan later near closing time. They were professional with the caring touch for patients … Fully recommend!!

Receptionists very nice, but the male who did my scan was rough and rude.I came in on crutches. I explained I'd only had hip surgery 2 weeks ago but he kept tapping my l thigh area for no reason at all., after asking him twice to stop. He then tried to make me move my hip around after telling him my Physio wouldn't allow it. I still had to do it. He had no empathy at all. It was meant to be a stomach scan I was just expecting to lie flat on my back, but he kept saying something about kidney spans. Seemed to get pleasure in crushing my ribs. Then at one point he wanted me to move onto the hip I'd just had surgery on. I said no. After wiping the gel he had used for scan he waved the tissues in my face as if he expected me to take them and dispose of them. I'll never go back there again.

I have never had such an awful experience with imaging before in my life. I had an injury in the workplace and immediately needed medical attention. I was given an urgent request for ultrasound as I was in an extreme amount of pain and even the strongest painkillers were not alleviating my pain. Reception (who were beyond kind and lovely, just fyi) managed to squeeze me in for an appointment that day. However when I saw the radiology tech, he was extremely dismissive and devoid of all bedside manner. I was a burden to his day, nevermind the fact it’s your literal job to treat those in vulnerable states. He barely spoke throughout the procedure, he cut me off when I asked a question and asked me “so why is this urgent then?” I told him I didn’t know, it was my doctor who made that determination, and he said “well it’s not. Urgent means you’re going to hospital”. I was absolutely appalled by his attitude. I hobbled out of there in tears and broke down sobbing out the front of the clinic. The ultrasound “professional” should not be treating patients if he can’t had one shred of compassion or understanding for a young person in severe pain. I am absolutely disgusted.

Negligent, they did the wrong radiology type and their report was incorrect, had to go to hospital to have it corrected. The doctor also have very bad bedside manners which did not help. I don’t recommend this place
