There have been a lot of vandalism issues with this park over the years. I work for the local council and we have put a lot of effort into it again just in the past few months. We have planted trees. Re paved the footpath. Revamped the irrigation system. Provided a new rubbish bin and 2 new shelters with park benches. Put a new skate park at the bottom end and added some more current play equipment. At the top end of the park the basketball court caged area still exists along with the kids cement cycle track with traffic lights and a kids fuel bowser for their enjoyment. The parks starting to look good and we hope the vandalism stays to a minimum as to see our efforts and rate payers monies arent spent on repairs rather than maintenance and progress. If there is one negative to the park its the fact that the toilet is normally locked and only open for certain occasions. We have replaced and repaired the toilet block many of times due to fires and extensive damage so i can only assume this is the reason its normally locked however there are tojlets available to the public at the council chambers in Tivoli road gagebrook which is a 2 minute drive from the park.
