Too easy! Took my car in to get the front two windows de-tinted and then retinted. The price and quality of work is excellent. My mate had his done at another place and they charged him $51 more than I paid and didn't do anywhere near as good a job as this mob. Very happy!

Have had three car's done by pro tint. First was due to the fact it was close. 2nd car was due to the excellent job they did on the first and the third, well you just can't beat their service!!! Super friendly and very reasonable in cost. Clint and the team are just fantastic. But most importantly is the result!!!! A brand new Mitsubishi triton and a brand new Mazda cx9 and the results are just super awesome. Very very very happy!!! Thank you to the whole team at pro tint!!! Cant recommend them enough!!!

We just had our Ford Everest tinted and the guys did a fantastic job. They communicated our options clearly, it was easy to get a booking and it only took them 2 hours to get the job done, and it looks great! We would highly recommend.

Protinting (PT) was recommended to me by Eastern Ranges Motors (ERM) in Lilydale who've been servicing my cars for years. I wanted the existing window tint in my 4WD replaced because I was getting sunburnt. On bright summer days I could feel the rays burning into my right forearm and face. That burning sensation is now just a tingle, still there in direct sunlight but greatly reduced. When I bought the vehicle new I asked the dealership for the strongest tint available but that's not what I got.New Window Tint: On this occasion I asked for the strongest legal tint which was 35% (visible light transmission) front and 20% rear. I also asked for a 5% shade strip across the top of the windscreen. This window tinting has significantly reduced cabin temperatures on sunny days and the difference is unbelievable. Regardless of who does the job, get the best grade of tint available. Going cheap is a false economy. Consider it skin cancer prevention if you need to justify the bucks.Cabin Heat from the Engine: The heat from a hot diesel engine coming through the firewall and dash is a major contributor to a hot 4WD interior in summer. With only 4 small air vents and a big cabin volume, a 4WD wagon is a challenge for most ACs on long trips on sunny summer days.Consider your Pets who can't Complain: Our dog suffered heatstroke in the cargo compartment on one occasion and after that she travelled in the front with us. It was regularly over 30C in the back where the dog had been when I later checked it with a thermometer. In my vehicle after a couple of hours the right hand side of the floor in the back gets hot from the muffler beneath it - just where the dog was!Cabin Heat from Colour: Dark colours both inside and out contribute significantly to cabin heat. The relative heat absorption factors on a scale of 0 to 30 are: white 6, light pastels 12-18, dark colours 23-27, matt black 30. The touch test on a sunny summer's day is a practical check. From first hand experience, black cars and/or interiors are anything but cool. BEVs can suffer a loss of range of about 15% when running the AC. The harder its run, the shorter the range.Prior Cleaning: As my 4WD had been on lots of dusty roads and tracks, I vacuumed the interior thoroughly, concentrating on the cargo bay and rear window frames. I did this to reduce the chance of dust being electrostatically attracted to the inside of the film during application. No matter how careful the tradesman is, it helps if they have a clean car to work on.Grades of Tint: All of PT's tints are 1% UV. I chose their premium product, SunTek's Evolve ceramic film that is rated at 6% IR. This blocks 94% of cabin heat producing sunlight. I got the windscreen shade strip because the existing glass tint at the top of the windscreen was inadequate. The new shade is deeper and works very well but of course, when the sun is low on the horizon the sun visor is still needed. The job was expensive because the existing film had to be removed, I'd selected the top of the range window tint and I got the shade strip.Summary: Window tinting with a good IR filter helps the AC cope with the combined effect of sunlight and engine heat on hot sunny days. The UV filter is to reduce sunburn and the chance of skin cancer. The manager and staff at Protinting are courtious, proficient and straight-shooters. They did such a good job that I went back the next Friday and gave them a cold slab for knock-off; smiles all round.A month later they did my caravan.Tad Golian23 March 23

The most incompetent tinting business in the area. Took the car back to do the job properly and made it worse, paid top dollar for bubbles in the film, dirt trapped between film and screen, name it and it is there, I do not recommend it!
