Went out to Curry Virundu for some Authentic South Indian Food. All you can eat either Vegetarian or Non Vegetarian served on a Banana Leaf. Service was quick and friendly. The food was average however, the vegetarian was good. The non vegetarian was very average the mutton curry was tough and needed a new few hours and fried fish was also average. Total cost was $ 140 for 4 people which was exuberant and was not worth that. If they want to charge those prices they also need to have nice clean tables, cold water, selection of drinks, menus and a decent wash rooms. The ambiance was nice under the beautiful trees. Would I go back….the answer is No. For those prices you can get better service and food.

The food was good. We ordered chicken kothu, mutton biryani and tea. However, the overall management can be improved by putting menus on all the table or QR codes rather than having just one QR code at the front desk. Staff can be more attentive by keeping an eye at front for customers when they enter the shop. Overall, the staff was friendly and food was delicious.

A very authentic dining experience. Felt very much like I was in India. Took a while to be served, even longer to get water, and it was a very hot night. Difficult to order due to authentic nature of the restaurant. Food was nice, but I've had taster elsewhere. I would definitely still go again. Loved sitting outside under the trees and lights.

Well it’s certainly an authentic experience. Banana leaf plates, Indian techno music but the flavours are absolutely spot on. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten anywhere at any price. Balanced, flavourful, just the right amount of spice. Very reasonably priced considering the quality of food.The chicken curry is a work of art, Smokey, peppery and cuts the parotta bread just right. My whole family loved it and will be back for sure.

I have had the banana leave rice that came with generous portion of vegetables like carrot, cauliflower, pumpkin and broccoli and enormous amount of chicken and mutton. Fish was also served but it was limited. The ambience was awesome. Loved the rustic vibe. The waiters were super friendly and polite. Also to add, the place allowed BYO wines. This felt like a genuine South Indian experience but it was in Bassendean.

Amazing food! Well worth it for the experience for all you can eat on weekends. Be patient for serving and times because they are laid back and in no rush. But holy moly the food is delicious! At the time of this post Veg $25 and meat $35 all you can eat.

Ordered mutton biryani combo which costed 105 dollars and drinks to go with ......the mutton biryani combo came with a mutton starter which was tasted Amazing followed by parotta and chicken curry along with mutton biryani and raita..... The mutton biryani was too good would definitely recommend people to try their biryani .....and the place was pleasant with good music overall.....raita was good enough....only disappointing thing was the drinks which we ordered aren't fresh fruit juices .....we did expect fresh fruit juices ....so that's y a lesser rating .

Seriously the best and most authentic Indian food I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve never been to Tamil Nadu nor southern India but it felt like I was being directly transported there, culinary speaking. No pretentious vibe here whatsoever, just simple good food. The service was also impeccable and very friendly. I’m really glad that this restaurant is in my neighbourhood, I can’t wait to go there again!

Looks can be deceiving, curry Virundhu is a unique restaurant that most would judge by the outside appearance. I highly recommend you don’t and try this place out!As you enter the shop front and make your way through the side access way to the outdoor courtyard, you are greeted with a welcome and vibrant, aromatic atmosphere. There’s music, karaoke and lots happy diners enjoying their meals with family and friends.Staff are very friendly and helpful. Price are very reasonable, and serving size are large. Recommend coming early and ordering quickly, as it does get busy and wait-times can be long and food does run-out with the high demand.We had family chicken biryani and chicken65 served on traditional banana leaf. More than enough food for 4/6 people and they generously providing free take-away containers.Food was delicious, fragrant and very flavorful. Not too spicy, though you can request certain dishes to come with medium heat or mild.I certainly recommend Curry Virundhu good food and great atmosphere

Food way above the expectations. The service was quick. The food was delicious. We went with the recommendations and loved it. The popular items were sold but it it is very obvious for the time we visited. Going again with more friends next time.
