Amazing fish..would recommend to everyone who appreciates great fish and chips. Really generous sized servings, and great service

I hate to say it but quality has suffered since the owners moved to their new location and left this one in the hands of others.Chips are undercooked and bland.Very dissapointed as have been a long time customer, will be finding anothet chippy local

We visited swannies last week and oh my Gosh it is the best fish and chips we’ve eaten in ages ! The batter is just so crispy and not greasy , the chips were cooked perfectly . Even my 3 yo son said the fish and the squid was so yummy !We will definitely be back and be a regular customer for sure ! Oh and the owner is super friendly and funny !

Mussels cooked so lightly the batter was gooey inside and all the flavour there. Fish perfect. Chips so good. Prices and customer service are the best!! A true gem in the swan valley.

I've just moved into the Midland area and was looking for a new regular fish and chip Shop. Swannies is one of the best in Perth in my humble opinion. The owners are really friendly and make you feel welcome.The chips are crispy in the outside and as soft as mash on the inside. Generous portions as well, a $6 medium serve was an absolute mountain.The scallops were reasonably priced and delicious. Each bite was bursting with the delicious savoury briney juice that good sea scallops ought to have.I had the red Emperor fish. Beautiful white flesh cooked to flakey perfection.The batter on the fish and scallops was nice and crisp to bite and had a lovely amber colour to it.This will definitely be my new go to for fish and chips.

Ate their a few days ago everything was perfect even though it was a bit busy our food (especially the chips) were cooked perfect.. the kiwi dogs were hot all the way through and the fish bites were fresh as

I went in looking for some classic New Zealand style fish 'n chips and I got it.The food was cooked well and tasted like home.Unfortunately I had to remove points for their lack of burgers.

Aww Swannies, I don't know whats happened. We came in tonight bought some fish n chips, tasmanian kina and an oyster punnet. The kina was definitely off! I couldnt even hold it in my mouth (and trust me iv eaten slightly old kina before and stomached it just fine) he was nice enough to offer another punnet which I jumped at because this girl loves her Kina. Tried one could hold it down but still a fowl taste. 2nd one I had to run out of the shop to spit it out. But... this may not be your fault and could be where you purchased them. I'm not sure but they should be taken off the shelf as I believe it was a bad batch. He refunded our money. Thank you for that.Tried the oysters and pretended they were OK because he had already lost out on $50 for the 2 punnets of Kina that were spoilt. But they were not and only ate 1. I bought them home to see if my family would like them thinking maybe it was just my taste buds. But they spat them out too. Do you marinate them? Because it tasted like it had vinegar or something. If so, you should write this on the container so people know. I wanted fresh raw oysters.The battered sausages were VERY spicy. Again if i had known i would not have bought them. He did give us a free yummier sausage though. Thanks again. The fish n chips were still yum! And the people serving were nice too. I'm sorry you lost out on money and am not trying to rubbish your business. It's just for future reference to be mindful of.I gave 3 stars because I still believe this shop is good this is the first time we've ever had a problem so could be just a one off.
