This is one of those hole in the wall type places that’s an absolutely gem.It’s a small family run joint with heaps of tasty dishes.Every single time I’m here I feel a wealth of regret that I’ve moved away from Malvern. They’ve recently renovated and now is even more welcoming (not that they had to be). If they had publicly traded shares, I’d invest.Had the Deep Fried Spicy Pork on Rice and the Duck with scrambled eggs on rice and they were both perfect. Even their rice is just perfectly done. The Duck with scrambled eggs on rice is a whole new level and you won’t find this dish anywhere else. A MUST try.

Best cantonese food in Melbourne!!. Hidden gem, small, but awesome. They manage to serve great food with great quality over years without change of taste.I always go to eat here either A1,2,3,4 or S (food menu code) + with scrambled egg. They tastes awesome. Everyone like it. After study, badminton, always eat here. Never gone wrong.5/5 !! Amazing

Wowwww!! I dont normally leave reviews but the food was all tooo fabulous. We stopped by before the 'evening with Barack Obama' (so were quite in a rush) and I could not pull myself away from the table. This was the best chinese I have eaten in Melbourne - The food style is different - Feels authentic & regional. We ate the spicy crispy chicken on rice, the pork belly on rice & a hot & sour soup. Sweetest staff too!

Have been a long term customer of Heng Sing due to studied at Monash University for 2 years....I would come and order the special fried rice every once a while...but in recent months, we started coming back to eat at Seng Hing and the Salt and Pepper Chicken rice with egg sauce is super tasty and this is one of my favourite meals in Melbourne at the moment...the boss lady seems getting old and gets sick very easily ...suggest please take more rest and hire a part timer....

Been eating here for over 20 years and I'm amazed how consistently good the food has been over the years. Food here has always been priced reasonably given its proximity to Monash university. The deep fried spicy pork chops on rice (A1 on the menu) is a favourite of many that dine here. It's a no frills kind of place and I love it.

Seng Hing is one of my favourite Chinese Restaurant. I have been dining here for a long time and frequently. I’ve tried over 90% of the dishes on their menu. The food is absolutely delicious, rich flavour, good variety, descent size serving and unbeatable prices. If you’re a meat lover I recommend belly pork hot pot, beef brisket hot pot, deep fried pork chop with lemon grass, deep fried spicy pork and chicken with jelly fish. We ordered 6 dishes tonight, great feed, very satisfied.

Tried the prawn and egg sauce noodle and the spicy and salted crispy chicken on rice. Those seemed tone their popular dish. Will come back and try other food on the menu. Saw another customer having the bitter gourd chicken on rice. Looks delicious
