Joachim is a patient, fun and flexible teacher. You can progress at your own pace but always feel a little challenged to improve and surprise yourself with what you can do thanks to Joachim's teaching! A lesson is always something I look forward to - you are guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face!

I am very pleased that I decided to take drum lessons with Scott after a long time thinking of starting the drums. Scott tailors lessons to my skill and interest and has chosen songs for me to learn that I both enjoy and help me develop new skills to keep progressing each week. Scott is very passionate for drums and this combined with his excellent technical knowledge and skill makes for a great teacher.

If you're looking for somewhere to try your hand at drumming, Joachim is the best! He's patient, understanding and easy to talk to. And I'm way better at drums than I thought I could be! Highly recommended :)

Joachim is professional and enthusiastic, and his passion for drumming shows in the way he teaches. I couldn't be happier that I made the decision to start taking lessons, and didn't anticipate how enjoyable it would be learning to play the drums, even as a raw beginner. Joachim is everything you want your teacher to be....relaxed, engaging, humorous and most importantly professional in his set up and teaching style. Joachim's lessons follow a plan allowing you to progress at your own pace. I couldn't recommend him highly enough!!

Joachim's lessons are the highlight of my week. He is relaxed, flexible with lessons and passionate about the drums and teaching. Joachim shapes the lesson around what you want to learn. He will have you playing your favourite songs in no time while having a great time learning to do it. My best decision of 2014 to choose Brisbane Drum Lessons and my best decision of 2015 to continue. Plus his new digs are great with an acoustic kit to learn off while watching him at his kit.

Scotty is a fantastic teacher. My son enjoys drumming thanks to the great teaching from Scotty and his calm approach. My son has developed technically and learnt a variety of styles in the few years of learning so far.
