This is our second time building with Blackett. Our first experience was a project home and the process was enjoyable, smooth and pain free, and the house was delivered on time and on budget. When it came to selecting a builder for our high-end custom build in Garran, Blackett was the obvious choice.Despite unavoidable delays including la nina, covid shutdowns, and resulting labour and materials shortages, we do not for a moment regret our decision to build with Blackett. Ours was a large home with many fine details, and we sincerely appreciate their support, and willingness to negotiate and come to a fair and reasonable outcome any time there was an issue. Nothing was ever too much of a problem for them, and they always tried to find a way to give us what we wanted. Most impressive was their uncompromising focus on delivering a quality end product. Blackett have a good network of reputable trades and our construction team, Matt K and Aaron had an attention to detail that matched our own.It was clear to us throughout that Blackett is a well established business with strong relationships with suppliers in the region. Everywhere I went when selecting finishes spoke highly of Blackett and seemed very pleased to be dealing with the company and their clients.We cannot recommend Blackett highly enough to anyone looking for a quality and reliable builder for their next home.

We are currently building with Blackett (knock-down rebuild) and to date the experience has been excellent. Matt looked after us through the design and pricing process and really value added to the home we look forward to moving into through his suggestions and guidance. Aaron has been straight forward with project management and we are looking forward to our project being finished. To date our slab is finished but wet weather and then the Covid lockdown has put a stall on everything. Hopefully construction will be allowed to move forward again some time soon.

We could not be happier with the final product - our new family home - built by Blackett Homes.From the outset, the whole experience was a really positive partnership to create something special, where nothing was ever a problem… except maybe getting a very heavy fireplace up all those stairs and into position.The entire team at Blackett Homes were always there to help and provide professional support and advice, and the trades used did outstanding and detailed work. From the stunning brick work to the tiling on the bath hobs, we are extremely happy with all of the finishes throughout. Some may even call them ‘features’.As first-time ‘new home’ builders we found the whole process relatively easy and strangely, stress free.At the start of the planning we’d heard from friends that doing a ‘knock down re-build’ was like being asked to make 3,000 decisions, of which you’re only really qualified to make three of them. So, we were lucky you were there to point us in the right direction and make those remaining 2,997 decisions...We cannot thank you, or recommend your work, or your company highly enough.

Blackett Homes were fantastic to deal with from our initial consultation, design, costing, through to project management and final delivery. They were responsive and kept up informed every step of the way.Project delivery was ahead of schedule, on budget and the quality/craftmanship were second to none. My family and I have been in our home for 3 years (in Sep 2022) and there have been zero issues to speak of. The home is as it was delivered to us in 2019 and we would not build with anyone else in the ACT.Thank you to David, Geoff, Matt and the entire Blackett team. You continue to deliver as promised time and time again.
