A good selection of beer and a great place on the balcony area for drinks and hanging out. Beautiful views of Half Moon Bay and Red Bluff Cliffs when the sun is setting. Can get busy during peak times.

As well as the usual sailing and yacht club membership and social activities, including competitive racing and sailing courses, Black Rock Yacht Club located at picturesque Half Moon Bay, Black Rock has a great club function room. Situated on the first floor, the function room is huge and a perfect venue for business functions such as meetings or workshops as well as for that special occasion, be it an engagement party, wedding celebration or even a birthday party. The views over Half Moon Bay, the Red Bluff Cliffs, and the sunken historic Cerberus submarine are stunning as are the beautiful sunsets. In the evening you can even see the city skyline lights twinkling on the horizon. A few years ago we went to a 21st there and it was awesome, the food, the views and the ambiance were just perfect.

Parking is such a hassle. Check the parking signs carefully. If you park in the boat trailer parks you WILL get fined. Also, during summer the parking opposite the Yacht Club is for boat trailers only - no cars. You will get fined there as well. Council workers visit often to check cars.

Very nice views and good sunsets for photographers. This beach is one of the best I’ve been to. It has lots of dogs and they’re all friendly. It super nice in the daytime and is good for relaxing. At night it’s a good spot to catch up with your friends or do some walking/running on the path. Above the beach is a park and lots of different shops and restaurants. Overall this place is very good

Black Rock Yacht Club
Really great place to hang out. Balcony has great view of half moon bay and red bluff cliffs at sunset. This club has members that do all fun things! Sailing, swimming, SUP, kayaking and anything else water related! Love coming down here for fun, looking at the wildlife, beautiful bay, and friendly people!
