I came to see Tony for a rockabilly pompadour cut and boy did he deliver. The cut was absolutely spot on. It’s very hard these days to find someone who can cut and style the old classics.

I saw Michael this morning and he created a beautiful vintage look for a photo shoot.Great conversation, great tunes and brilliant hair styling. I can't wait to return.

Friendly staff and professional haircuts.From the time I arrived for my booking to the time I completed my hair cut. This place provided fantastic customer service while giving me a great haircut. My regular barbershop changed its opening hours, so I decided to try somewhere new. As soon as I walked into Sterling, I was taken by the convivial atmosphere. The chat was flowing freely and there was great rapport between the different hairdressers—some busy with clients, and some pacing around between appointments. The shop itself seems like a microcosm of Surry Hills that encapsulates the suburb's smart casual way of life. When I was offered a beer while waiting in the chair, there was no confusion about the suburb I was in.I had chosen to get my haircut from Lou, based on other Google reviews I had read. I don't regret my decision in the slightest. She gave me an excellent cut and didn't hide her personality behind a smarmy veneer of professionalism. She was also understanding about my cheating on my usual barber, respecting that this may be my only time ever in a Sterling chair. The rinse at the basin included a scalp massage, and I also had a straight razor shave at the back of my neck, with a hot towel immediately after.Surry Hills is not short on barbershops and hairdressers, and Tony Vacher's Sterling is making sure the new kids on the block stay humble.

Sterling hairdressing are incredibly talented. And wonderful people. I've had several hair cuts and formal stylings now and I'm always made to feel welcomed and remembered. Not by just my stylist Tony but the whole team. They time and time again show that they go above and beyond for their clients.They squeeze them in for an appointment when they need a styling for an event.They help them get out the door to meet a deadline of an event. (Even kept my hair safe as I got in an Uber on a rainy day!)They even do a follow up call to check on a client if they missed they're appointment.I travel an hour each way to get my hair done here because they're a team that care and I love them for it.I can never Thank you enough Sterling Hairdressing!

Tony is the best in the business, timeless styles that grow out gracefully. Had a black tie event recently and Tony styled me into Vintage Hollywood glam perfection! Lou is also the best colourist around, nails it every time! All the staff are fabulous - you can’t go wrong!
