Northcote Radiology Clinic

I had a pelvic ultrasound at Northcote Radiology Clinic recently. I was seen promptly and the ultrasound technician was incredibly kind and helpful and put my concerns at ease.

Janine the sonographer is super friendly and professional. My doctor asked where I got my ultrasound from, as “the report was written so exceptionally” Wonder how other sonographers write their reports. Anyway I would recommend Janine, I had to do a second attempt for my ultrasound, and she was professional and accomodating.

My husband's perfectly normal CTPA was read INCORRECTLY. The radiologist read a blur/artifact as a life threatening saddle PE. This lead to an awful week in hospital for no reason. It caused more harm than good. We called NR just to let them know what had happened, in the hope that it would be taken on board so that further training could be carried out. As we didn't want this to happen to anyone else. However the radiologist personally attacked my husband and made him feel awful. He didn't let us speak to the practice manager. Who we believe would want to know that this had happened, seeing that it is a business.An independent radiologist read the scan that was done at Northcote Radiology. He said if an intern read it, they would have failed. Perhaps because the radiologist is 71yrs old, he has trouble changing the computer screens to look at the different angles and views. Maybe he's amazing at traditional x-rays. But certainly not CTPA scans. I hope that this message will get to the the right person so that this harm doesn't occur to anyone else.. Thank you.

Gavin (I think!) X-rayed me today and was absolutely lovely and professional - thank you, being kind really makes a big difference to the person/patient using your services. Highly recommend this clinic.

Positive - could fit me in the same day. Sonographer was really great.Negative - when I booked the appointment, I was told I would be given the x-ray films to take to my osteo appointment the next day. This is standard at other local radiology clinics. I asked for my films and was told they didn’t do that (despite every other person in the waiting room being given x-ray films when I was there). Perhaps this had something to do with my appointment finishing at 4:55pm?Great location but won’t be my first choice next time.

Great service and results were sent back to my GP the next day. Dr Arthur is friendly and explained the process to me clearly.
