A wonderful dining experience. We were seated at the kitchen bar with an excellent view of the hustle and bustle. Great bar staff on hand to mix cocktails. We had lots of sensational food. The roast potatoes were to die for.

I liked the salad sauce and fish sauce. Wine was not my favorite (couldn't finish it).Fish was fine but nothing special and it was somewhat colder than my expectations.I didn't select the chef menu (90aud), because i wasn't hungry.But I paid 72aud(over pricey) and I'm still hungry... Portions were a little.I wouldn't go there for a meal. I might go there again for the chef menu only.

I have my dinner here with my friends. Tasty seafood pasta and roast pumpkin, and the roast pear with cream are all delicious. The staffs are friendly. They have a yard that allow to have the meal outside.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here last night and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere that they have created within this space. It feels very classy and romantic with mood lighting and modern furnishing. Perfect for a date night or intimate dining experience.I recommend sitting at the Kitchen Bar, as being able to witness the chefs at work brought an element of entertainment to the experience, that we very much enjoyed!Here is what we ordered;Tomato and Caramelised Onion Tarts (Our Favourite). Perfectly balanced, well flavoured, light, fresh and a great starter.Flatbread with Chickpea Purée (Least Favourite). Sadly, the combination of flavours within this dish created a rather unpleasant aftertaste. Additionally, the flatbread was a little too tough and hard to cut through. We did not finish this entree.Wagyu Beef Tartare: Zesty, fresh, and rich in flavour. Well accompanied by crispy crostini.Campanelle Pasta with Chicken and Marsala Ragu: The chicken was succulent and flavourful, however I think the pasta needed just a tad longer cooking time, as it was a little too firm and chewy for my liking.Kiwami Wagyu: The meat was melt in your mouth soft! The Miso Butter was also a perfect accompaniment to the dish, adding a nice element of creamy-sweet-saltiness.Rosemary Fried Potatoes: Very crispy on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside. However, I think the potatoes either needed more salt, or even perhaps a toss in some vinegar to enhance the overall flavour, as without the sour cream element, they were rather bland.The cocktails were delicious and we were offered a dessert liquor, on the house, to finish the evening!Furthermore, the service from staff was welcoming, friendly, and fast!Overall a great experience and would recommend to friends and family! Still fabulous! Had an amazing anniversary lunch at Orso the other week. It’s always been a bit of a favourite, but we hadn’t been for a while. It certainly didn’t disappoint. We did the chefs selection for $100 (added $10 for the prawn rolls - so worth it). It was all outstanding. The beef cooked to perfection in a miso butter, those prawn rolls to die for, perfect tartare, the most fluffy melt in your mouth gnocchi with duck ragu and to finish a gorgeous vanilla panacotta dessert with refreshing ruby grapefruit granita. So lovely and such good value. The staff friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Love. Oh and as a non drinker big tick for stocking the NON AF range.

Went for Valentine's day Lunch, Service was outstanding, absolutely what I would expect of a high calibre venue, wait staff absolutely knew what they were doing and about the food being served. Giving helpful suggestions and were really lovely. Simple not over complicated menu, classically italian done in a modern style and well presented. Enjoyed the entrees, main pasta dish felt as though it was missing a little something and slightly salty for our taste. Main portions were considerable, and entrees what you would expect also. I ordered a house cocktail which was nice. These guys know what they're doing.I do agree with another review here saying the tables are too small for sharing. It was definitely a juggle for us with only 2 people just fitting stuff on the table. If 4 people were having a main and a couple of sides it really would be struggletown.

Decided to come to Orso for a birthday dinner from a recommendation from my boss. There was 6 of us and we had the chef’s menu which was $85 a head. Although this was a bit pricey it was so worth it. The bread with the eggplant and cheese dishes was so amazing and the pastries were so yummy and light. The steak was easily a highlight, it was so easy to eat and tasted perfect. We had one vegetarian in our group and the food brought out for her all looked amazing and staff was really clear about what was in each dish which was really appreciated.
