Pioneer Bridges Rest Area
Great spot for an overnighter. Access to the river makes it easy for a swim. Pretty cold... so more a quick dip. People were dropping a line but I didn't see any decent catches. Lovely and quiet. Room for around 4 to 5 vans and some good camper or tent sites. Bins and 2 long drops made it a easy stay. Bring your own paper...so do yourself a favour.

My Son and I camped here for two nights. We camped right on the bank, there was plenty of space between camps so we didn't anoy other camps clients by.. definitely worth stopping there for a picnic or even stay over for the night or two.

Stayed for 1 night. Very quiet spot. 2 other campers for the night. Woken early hours with the car alarm! It was a false alarm but freaked the wife out as it was a very dark night. Beautiful spot beside the river with a camp fire would stay here again.

Good spot for an overnight stop. Toilets were good. BYO toilet paper. River was flowing and lots of swimming and fishing happening!

Pioneer Bridges Rest Area
This rest area isn't even sign posted. Wasn't sure we had actually found it. Too isolated and dark for us. Toilets disgusting. I didn't get much sleep. Huge Possums running up and down trees all night. It is a pretty place near the river, but only in daylight. The drive to it is magical, very scenic.

Great spot right on the ovens river with a nice swimming hole and Sandy beach great for the kids. Fair few spots to choose from with nice shade. Would have been a five star except for the toilet was rather neglected.

Pioneer Bridges Rest Area
A lovely free spot to camp next to a flowing river and not too far off the Hume. Bring some toilet paper and take your rubbish with you if the bins are full. It could do with a bucket of sawdust in the toilets and the bins being emptied more frequently but still a scenic and quiet place to rest.

Great little rest area with plenty of flat green space to set up for a night or few. Water of the Ovens river looked clear as day, toilets looked fine and a little birch plantation. Would stop over again.

Great location. Nice and serene. Awesome lil campsite. Creek bubbling away in the background while falling asleep.

Drop toilet, no seating or tables. Good spot for fishing. 3 minute drive to Everton.
