The Nail Lab - Sydney CBD

I had a very disappointing gel manicure. It didn’t look great, thick at the nail bed and thick at the tips. Within a week the gel was lifting and my nails were left in a terrible state. In decades of having similar services, I have never had my nails ruined like this. They are lovely people, but I cannot recommend this salon.

The end-to-end experience at The Nail Lab was fantastic. The service was warm and welcoming, the online booking process was seamless, the pedicure itself was excellent - so much so I would've tipped them! Will definitely return here next time I'm up in Sydney.

We tried to book a group for bridal party, no response so all booked individually for same time. Upon arrival, salon was closed and we did not receive any notification of this. I phoned the Darlinghurst store to see if they knew what was happening and we were informed it should be 10 minutes due to traffic. About 15 minutes after our booked time (first appt of day), no apology of being late, we went inside and were seated, all seemed lovely and the tech started to remove my nails and asked what I would like. The removal seemed to be going well and I was impressed with the nail tech and quality of service. 15 minutes later the manager approached me and informed me they did not have time to complete my service as it would take an extra 15 minutes for French. I asked are they sure they could not fit it in (given they were late and we were spending lots of $$ between us) and then I asked if they had appointments at the other branch as the manage r was not offering any solution. There were appointments available so the manager arranged one, however instead of giving me (a tourist) all the information I need to know to decide a time, she started asking me what time I wanted to go there. Bearing in mind I had no idea of time to get there, what appts were available etc. Eventually, I made my way to other store in Darlinghurst for service completion. I booked a dip power manicure, which took 1.5 hours not including removal and was $95. I did not receive “hand massage” as described in booking. I booked for a Dip powder French and while the nail tech was very good and took care, the tips were painted on, not dipped and chipped after 2 days. Honestly, I was disappointed, even though the nail technicians seem to be good, the quality of service etc is just not there.

I love the NailLab! I had been looking for a long time for a place that does a thorough job and is careful with SNS removal. My nails are on the fragile side. My nail technician is Mary, and every single time she is so gentle with that scary drill-thingy. She’s also diligent , particularly with shaping the nail. And every time I walk out of there with perfect nails. I can’t think of a nail place as good as this.

Honestly a bit disappointed with the quality and service. Got the signature manicure and gel pedicure - painting job was alright, layers of paint can be seen by the cuticle as pictured as the quality of the pedicure treatment wise was mediocre at best for price.

Have been getting my nails done here for a year or so and wouldn't go anywhere else. Even pre covid, their hygiene and safety practices were second to none and continues to this day. Great array of colours, love being able to book online and staff are always friendly and highly attentive to their craft.

Honestly amazed at how much they generally care about their customers and are always eager to chat if wanted. My nails were in bad shape after having acrylic nails and they were kind enough to supply me with free serums to support their growth. Will be back!

I’m not one to frequently get my nails done, over the last few years I’d only go for special occasions. When I went to Nail Lab thought I was so impressed with the staff and how much care they take, that I’m now going in frequently to get mine done! Staff are lovely (shoutout to Kat and Yuval) and the place is beautiful. Highly recommend treating yourself here with a mani/pedi!

We went for a pre wedding pamper all six of us. The staff were very friendly and punctual. They took their time on the nails making sure we were all happy with their work. The staff were very patient while we all chose colours. We took some champagne and they even supplied lovely champagne glasses for us. Thoroughly recommend The Nail Lab in Sydney CBD.

Lovely salon, clean and comfortable. Staff were attentive, helpful and my gel manicure was excellent. Repaired butchered cuticles and nails from a manicue elsewhere, trimmed and reshaped my nails to the same length and shape. My polish lasted 3 weeks without any chipping and only a minor loss of shine. I removed the polish only because my nails had grown out too much.Chatty technicion but not intrusive, a really pleasant lady with great communication skills..I don't live in Sydney but when visiting I'll make sure to book an appointment. I like being able to book online and that prices are very reasonable for a high standard of service. Thank you for an outstanding experience!
