Alternate Worlds Comics and Collectables

pretty good place, wide range of stock for a small place and they’re usually pretty nice. a lot of things are probably overpriced but i don’t have the patience to order online from somewhere else, just wish they would reorganise the layout, it’s kinda cramped but not too difficult finding things so not a big deal. to the people complaining about the employees not being hyped to go find their specific comics from the back, i totally get that, i’ve switched mostly to ordering online and doing store pick up just to avoid the hassle and i’d say it’s worked out better for me anyway. overall i’d say it’s not the best for casual browsing but if you know what you want you’ll probably find it here :)

Very good place. Friendly staff, clean store and a wide variety of products there. Would definitely recommend if youre interested in collecting items like; comics, manga, figures ect.

Great place to order Comic Books on-line. Orders are well packed and books are in great condition. Shipping is very reasonable and they help to combine shipping for multiple orders whenever possible. One of my favorite on-line Comic book stores and highly recommended!

Great range of comics, bags, boards & etc offered here, although a bit overpriced. I ordered bulk for delivery and instructions were clearly followed. Packaged well too as well with care.

Didn't realise something like this existed out in the suburbs. First time I went there I felt like I was in a maze of towering bookshelves. Very cool. Comics, manga and RPGs. I've also seen what seems like a close knit group playing MTG some days. On your way out don't forget to pick up the upcoming comics sheet on the counter, so you know when to come back!

So first I would like to state that I have been to this store before multiple times but my most recent experience not even a week ago was pretty bad. I brought my boyfriend to this store because it was his first time going to a comic store, and the experience that we both had was definitely the best impression on the comic book community for him at all. So the night before visiting the store we checked online for a certain series. And it said they had this series in stock so we were confident in going on a buying them. Anyway fast forward to the next day we are at the store. Straight away the worked behind the desk looks bored out of his life and just doesn’t look excited to work there and I also don’t think he had a large amount of knowledge on comic books. Anyway we ask him if they had the series we were looking for and he searched it up on the computer, he goes on to say that he does have a few that we were wanting but we would have to buy online and then come back. Which was him 100% just being lazy. Anytime I’ve been to alternate worlds or a comic store in general if they have on there website that something is in stock they will go out to the back and get the box that has the comics you are looking for so that you can go through them. This guy just could not be bothered. Most of the workers here are just up themselves or rude. Not only that, half of there collectibles that they sell are all discoloured on the boxes! Especially the pop vinyls. All of the boxes are extremely discoloured and they are asking full price for them. Anyway there are way better comic stores in Melbourne then this place. I wouldn’t even bother wasting your money here because of how stupidly overpriced they are.

Amazing range on comics and collectables, better than the shops in the city and they seem to be the only people in Melbourne doing this, not to mention there amazing, friendly staff and the fact that they will go out of there way to help find what your looking for makes this place an EASY 10/10

Went here to purchase a few comics for a birthday present. The customer service was truly above and beyond. The selection is outrageous! I even purchased a few extra comics for my son while I was there - great kids/all ages selection. I always leave this place feeling happy with purchases.
