Modbury Veterinary Clinic

Dealt with Kirrily who was lovely, but apparently doesn't work there anymore (?) I previously had positive experiences at this clinic - it used to be great many years ago.In my first (and only) consult there since new ownership, I attempted to give the vet a brief introductory recent history of my pet's issue. But she didn't acknowledge I'd even spoken, spoke over me, and then completely ignored me as she injected my pets. Yikes. That was the first sign.With trepidation, I called again today to make another appointment today and Dr. Chelsea happened to answer. She couldn't find either of my pets records and asked if I really meant to call the Modbury clinic.I explained that my records were transferred over last year and were definitely there. She advised she was in the middle of surgery. Fair enough, so I asked if I could please speak with Kirrily. Kirrily, who I'd had several lovely conversations with late last year before making the decision to *transfer all of my files over to Modbury Veterinary Clinic* from their ex-partner clinic. Chelsea insisted there hadn't been anyone working there with that name for years. Thinking I may have had the name wrong, I suggested possibly another nurse who's name started with a K? She insisted no-one.When I asked when someone else might be available to help me get to the bottom of the missing records, Chelsea, running out of patience, dismissively told me I should just find another vet. Huh? She hung up.I then visited the Modbury Veterinary Clinic website, only to find Kirrily's lovely face and profile. I phoned and asked to speak with Kirrily and was told she wasn't available just at the moment...So after 12 years of being a happy, loyal customer supporting both clinics, this is where my advocacy ends. I will not support any vet actively creating and role modelling such a hostile and dishonest culture. That's precisely why I transferred away from the last clinic, but its become clear why they split.EDIT: Modbury Veterinary Clinic, your fraudulent response below is noted. I, and many other customers who've left such reviews for your practice right across the internet, are not prepared to tolerate any more of YOUR unnecessary hostility and dishonest nonsense. This is just not how the rest of the world does business. Perhaps you could consider asking about, listening to, and attempting to understand the appalling customer experience you are creating, rather than just blindly defending and reinforcing it.

Can't speak highly enough of both Dr Teagan and Dr Chelsea, I recommend them to anyone in our area. We have been taking our two cats and our dog for the last 6 years. They always work hard to do what's best for our fur babies and our dog in particular absolutely loves her trips to see Dr Chelsea. Multiple occasions we have been squeezed in at short notice when our dog has been attacked or injured which we always appreciate because we trust their expertise and care.

Had a Last minute appointment I needed and got in straight away. Great with my little dog. Very polite staff. Might change to this vets as it's closer.

Tegan was very friendly and knowledgeable, our 6 month old GSD loved her. The clinic was lovely and clean, I liked the little section where you could pick and mix treats!

Helpful staff. Brought my pupster through an ordeal and, sadly, had to farewell our cat of 19 years. The latter was handled sensitively and with care.

Took very good care of our cat while she had her check up.Also got her shaved as she was very matted.Everyone was super nice.

I don't have enough words to describe just how wonderful Dr Chelsea, DrTegan and the staff at Modbury Vet are. They have absolute hearts of gold and the care and kindness they provide is exceptional. I have never been to a more genuine and trustworthy vet and can't imagine ever going anywhere else despite us not living in the area anymore. The care and compassion they provided me and my family when we had to say goodbye to our boy was remarkable and I am forever grateful for all they did for us. The most kindest beautiful team ever ❤️

Neil and I recently lost our beloved dog Buddy from cancer. I can't come close to saying how much Dr Tegan and the rest of the staff are appreciated for their compassion, love and understanding. When we had to say goodbye to Buddy they went above and beyond in making sure we were supported. Love you guys, not sure if we can ever replace Buddy but if we do we will be back. I could only give 5 stars but you guys deserve a thousand.

Horrible place. The staff is rude and extremely unhelpful I honestly don’t understand how they are in business all they care about is money. They tried to avoid me take photo to get evidence. Because they are afraid what they did.
