The staff here are truly 5 stars such good and friendly service, sadly the food was horrendous some we couldn’t even eat. Blood coming out of the sausage rolls and they smelt so bad, pizza base was burnt and chips were over cooked, wings very average. The males in our party enjoyed the drinks.Building feels a bit claustrophobic and kind of needs a theme to make it fun.The mayor holding up the bar is never a good look for any establishment.

I find myself in lovely beach side Geraldton here in Western Australia, 3700km from my home in Melbourne.Batavia Brewery is a fantastic spot not far from the beach, a couple blocks down Fitzgerald Street,The venue itself is quite large, and could easily cater for 100+ people or venue hire for functions if they do wish. They're creating an atmosphere that encourages socialising amongst customers and staff which is great to see.The staff are very welcoming and friendly, there's a great range of beers mostly catering towards local tastes (WA loves a pale ale), it would be nice to have a dark beer like a porter on tap.Good range of food to choose from, the pizzas are quite nice.If you find yourself in Geraldton, then make sure you visit Batavia Brewery, and while you're at it, google the story about the shipwreck it's named after.

Avast ye, me hearties! Listen well, for I have a tale to spin about a brewery I came upon during my recent travels to Geraldton. 'Twas called Batavia Brewing, and by the Lord, it was a sight to behold!I, being a salty dog of the seas, have tasted many a brew in my time, but this one was unlike any other. The red ale and xpa were a treat to me senses, and I could not get enough of the latter. It was a smooth brew, with just the right amount of hops, and its flavour was a delight to me tongue.Me mate and I did not partake of the food on offer, for we were too busy savouring the ale. But from what we saw, 'twas the usual pub fare. We returned for more, and me mate ordered another pint of the red ale, which was just as tasty as me first choice.I cannot help but think of how such a fine ale would have lifted the spirits of us sailors, had we been blessed with it in 1629, when our ship, the Batavia, met its end on the treacherous Abrouhos Islands. We endured horrors beyond imagining, but a brew like this would have made the days and nights more bearable.

Went for lunch with a friend. We had a tasting platter consisting of a variety of our choosing from the available beer flavours. The different flavours were very professionally explained by the staff behind the bar. We had our food delivered to the table piping hot and with little wait time. Excellent customer service from all the staff we interacted with. Restaurant and facilities were nice and clean. Good atmosphere, really like the different ocean themed murals on the walls. I'll have to go back for the brewery tour and different selections of the beer and food menu.

Food and service was really good and the beers are honestly incredible. The thing that kills this place is the styling and atmosphere. Far too light ,bright poor choices for a brewery/ pub. It feels like a day care centre or cafe unfortunately as it seems theyve spent a bit of money on the choices like the big mural outside that sets the poor tone. Darken it up big time with a genuine sort of shipwreck, Kraken, old school coast vibe and people will flock to it 100%

Came for a meal while passing through town. Im not sure what i was expecting, but i would definitely recommend this place. The food was absolutely fantastic, the beer was interestingly different (got a tasting paddle) to my usual and the service was very friendly.
