Donut King Robina Town Centre

From our personal experience, the owners/management need to go and complete a management course and learn how to treat young girls in business. Many times I went to pick my daughter up from work and listened first hand, as they berated her and talked about her with other family members and in front of public. We appreciated the work so I wouldn’t let her quit, even though she and others would leave work crying. My daughter is an extremely hard worker and always looking to please. I’ve had her working me many times. I know she would have given them her all. Considering the price of donuts I would expect that this business is doing quite well and I can’t understand why they have to treat their staff like this. I’ve heard customers telling staff that the management shouldn’t be speaking to them like way and that it’s disgusting.In the end I got my daughter to give them 2 weeks notice, but true to their form, they didn’t give her any more shifts and finished her up straight away. There are plenty of other places to work that will appreciate, nurture and help build confidence in your child, Donut King is not that place. I know that many staff are now leaving the business as they’ve had enough. Maybe they’ll finally get the message, that this form of people management doesn’t work.

Have bn driving from Tweed Heads to here for a few years now and Always had great service and approachable staff Plus lovely coffee and donuts Noticed recently there was a change of ownership A guy seemed to be there However we have not sighted him for couple months BUT both the girls who seem to be in charge are doing a fantastic job.. We feel all staff are giving it their all and always very polite The round trip approx 60klms is made worth it as the staff go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy the visit Often we do the trip two or three times each week It's worth it... Quick friendly service, & the fresh to order sugary cinnamon doughnuts are amazing

I ordered a special from a poster located on the counter, regular coffee and 2 donuts for $7. I paid by eftpos, I wasn’t told the price or shown the eftpos screen by the person serving me which I thought was strange. I then asked the server for a receipt, I found I was charged $7.10. I told woman she had charged me $7.10 for the $7.00 special, she said nothing but pointed to a tiny sign in the top corner of a fridge door, which I think said something about eftpos charge, it was too small for me to read!! It is only 10cents, but I will never return. Very poor management, i can’t believe a franchise of this size would allow this type of behaviour. The 1 star was for the coffee and donuts, they were okay.

had the unfortunate experience of working here as a kid... yes the owners are awful and its sad to hear they're still mistreating young girls. they only care about money. absolute rip off considering the poor quality of product, and the dodgy procedures they followed

Today is the 26th of June 2022. The staff rostered on now are absolutely wonderful. They’re very cheerful and kind. 10/10 cinnamon donuts, EVERYONE MUST TRY THEM! Best dam donuts I’ve ever had.

Staff were all pleasant and eager to serve and donut was fresh. Went to pay with a $10 note which had a small tear (I was unaware when I handed it over). The staff refused to take it as payment. I payed with another note and now after reading reviews I wish I had said don’t worry keep your donut.This seems a business focused on nickel and diming by charging to use eftpos, refusing notes anything less than perfect and using young polite girls to serve. I hope males are given the same employment opportunity when applying for jobs as from what I have seen on my numerous walks past here is that there are only young naive females on staff.

Served by Olivia today and she was amazing. She took her time to make sure my order was correct as it was a long order.This family business serves hot coffee and fantastic milkshakes. The donuts are always hot and very fresh. The store is located opposite Kmart and has amazing friendly staff. Highly recommended. Always go here when I visit Robina town centre.

When not paying cash customers are penalised... can't believe that this business charges a fee if you use eftpos... not even a credit card so no charge by the bank to them... so just another money grab....be honest and display the proper price and if someone hands you a card, let them know it will be extra so the customer has a choice of paying less by giving cash. Very bad customer relations.

Staff always on point when the manager is watching them like a hawk! Haha. Cin nuts are always perfect as the thickshakes, they bring me to the yard!Glazed nuts good but DK need to bring back the old school glazed ones. The OG people! Get on it DK!
