Such a wonderful school. The principal and teachers go above and beyond in so many areas. The school values and nurtures the social, physical, academic, creative and emotional needs and capabilities of each child.

Friendly, caring, high quality education

We are in our second year at WFPS and absolutely love the school. There is a very caring and supportive culture in the school which the children actively support. Also the grounds are spacious and beautiful. The kitchen garden program is also great.

Nice teachers and Caring staff

We love Winters Flat so much!! Our preppie has settled in beautifully and is so happy. The teachers are wonderful and warm and the school community is lovely and supportive. Our kid loves class everyday but highlights of the week include performing arts class, French class, cobbers program and dancing on the deck! Highly recommend this amazing school

Bit shocked by the rating so im leaving a review! Our kids old school in Melbourne has a 5 rating and winters flat is without doubt, head and shoulders ABOVE, in a different dimension WAY BETTER. Love this school. Looks out for kids well-being, gives results all round.

We're thrilled we made the choice to be a Winters Flat family. Having moved up from Melbourne we were initially taken with the grounds. Still right in the heart of Castlemaine, Winters Flat's grounds give the feeling of being out in the country. Kids have the space to run! Our little grade 1 is just so happy (as is her younger brother who comes in to help change readers with me on a Friday). The cobbers program is a highlight. The older kids really looking out for and support the youngsters. Winters Flat also has a welfare officer. After a harrowing couple of years (thanks COVID) I cannot imagine sending my kid to a school who doesn't have a dedicated member of staff (on top of the awesome classroom teachers) looking out for their mental health. I feel my kids will receive a well rounded and joyful education at Winters Flat.
