First time that i have been to Tonton in Highton and it definitely won't be the last, amazing food with such definition and taste to there meals, great staff along with great service. We got to meet Aaron the owner and chef such a nice man, with so much pride in his new business i wish you all the best, and don't worry we'll be back. Thanks Nige & E

Everything here is done with such an attention to detail, creating a really nice vibe. I loved that there were plenty of bar stools to have a meal or coffee on your own. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great too. (Loved the touch of metal straws rather than plastic).

Went to a different cafe in same spot but with their kitchen closed got a recommendation to come to tonTon. Glad we took it.Ambience; Friendly staff, delightful interior, calm tunes and cozy seating and decor.Edibles; after pursuing, we happened to meet the owner and head chef Aaron who made some suggestions from his delectable menu. Get fresh squeezed juice or great coffee and then head for the pork belly or the mushroom medley. We had a few other selections that had great balances and compliments of flavours, and everything was five star.Summary; Great place, greater food and lovely people. Highly worth the trip. Won’t disappoint.

We dined at Tonton for dinner and we were thoroughly impressed. We didn’t have a booking, as it was a spontaneous decision to dine out, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, making us feel very welcome.It was the first week showcasing their new menu offerings and the share plates we enjoyed were absolutely delicious. We shared the croquettes, salmon, saganaki, focaccia, chicken and cauliflower dishes. Each element was cooked perfectly, highlighting the combination of flavours and each complimented each other. We were pleased with the value and enjoyed the whole experience, including the cocktails and beverages.The chef and team have created an amazing restaurant/cafe and we are delighted that it is in the heart of Highton. We look forward to dining at Tonton again!

Ton Ton has become a staple for us. The exceptional menu features elevated cafe fare that is honestly better than it should be. The staff are friendly and attentive, the coffee is excellent. The weekend dinner service at Ton Ton cafe is an under-the-radar gem that is on par with some of the best Geelong has to offer. We encourage everyone to support this endeavour - Highton needs more business to thrive in our little pocket of Geelong.

I don't normally write reviews unless something is exceptional, and let me tell you this was. From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the pleasant and professional staff. Everything was very clean and well put together - both the place and the staff. The atmosphere was lovely. Menu selection was good and varied - not too many choices, but this is a good thing, not only were we not paralysed with indecision due to there being 50 million options on the menu like many other places, but it meant that they know what they do well and stick to it. Quality over quantity. And that leads nicely into the best aspect of the place - the food. I ordered the Pork Belly, my partner the Fried Chicken Sub. And let me tell you, it was incredible. You may think I'm exaggerating, but it was without a doubt the best pork belly I have ever had. It's was cooked to perfection - slightly crispy outside, soft and moist inside. The sauces were incredibly good - obviously home made. You can tell that each of the chosen elements of the dish were carefully and deliberately chosen by an accomplished chef as each of the flavours worked extremely well together to bring out subtle nuances and unique combinations of flavours. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite, as did my partner with hers; fried chicken crispy and juicy, potatoes delicious, sauce incredible, well balanced choice of salad, not too much bread. One minor thing that perhaps let my dish down slightly was the inclusion of coriander, I personally am not a fan of the flavour, but that is very much personal preference - many people love it, and I could see how it would freshen up the salad. All in all, incredible food, with great service. Will be back again.

Long story short, they couldn’t make my wife’s Chai Tea as they had run out, and I offered to pay the residual to make it a smoothie instead. As I walked in, the lady pulling the coffees said it’s cool. They made the error, they’ll cover it.Can take an easy couple of bucks, but good service goes a long way to winning customers in busy Highton. You have yourself a repeat customer! Also, coffee’s good!
