highly do not recommend sending your kids to this centre, the price is unbelievable and the teachers are almost beyond useless. Overpriced with outdated content, your kids will benefit from other tutoring locations such as pre uni, cs education etc

I remember I used to lose my own stationery and brought others back home a lot as a kid. Suppose its one of those things kids don't pay too much attention on. And we honestly ask our kid to use their own and not to touch what's been provided due to Covid prevention. This is what the center sent to the parents recently that we'd like to share and ask what other parents think of it? Blindly labelling kids to thieves". As an education provider

I have been against sending kids to these kind of tuition centers but under pure peer pressure (as every other kid was taking tuition so my wife thought its best to send my daughter to one of these as well otherwise she will be left behind). So I looked up on internet for a good learning center and did lot of reading before selecting SWOT shop as they emphasize on kids not taking short cuts and claims to be not like any other crammed tuition center with focus on just circumventing Selective School/OC/ICAS exams to be successful. My daughter started in one of their Kindy program and was in SWOT shop for two years. Afterwards she had to sit through internal criteria to be given admission in level 1. I would have expected that she would have made it as surely SWOT shop not being just like any other tuition or coaching center popping up everywhere would have taught her the right skills in 2 years she has been there butto my surprise she didn't make it to Level 1 as surely I would have expected SWOT teachers would have build that skills from young age to meet their criteria at least if not the so called standard set by rest of the world. So my question is what exactly she was taught in two years, I can't say what teachers are like as everything is behind close doors. But I do see so many classes and so many students visiting this center that its hard to find parking it makes me think it's just another money making enterprise like any other coaching center ..... running on the back of few exceptional students who don't need this kind of coaching anyways in first place.

Did not really have a good experience with them you’ll find it consistently that reception is rude, their learning material ordinary, I suspect the success was more driven by their strong marketing to attract the smarter children than it is about tutoring them.

Look for somewhere else to spend your money for your child's education. This is coming from a child who has been in swot shop since year 1, but I believe you can find parent perspectives in other reviews.First of all, the teachers are hardly ever helpful. I've only met 1 or 2 teachers that have actually improved my studies, and that isn't much. Most of the teachers are straight up rude, would lecture students in the middle of a class- keep in mind that we're paying for education, not a lecture. They would talk about private issues during a lesson, almost as if we were wanting to learn about them.Entry tests and exams. I've passed all my entry exam, but it's so ironic that they're educating students, while they only take in the smartest of the bunch. An entry test costs way too much in my opinion, and it doesn't even guarantee your child a spot. Some institutions give an entry test just to show where your child is placed among current students, but swot shop is just money hungry. I used to do english, maths and galileo (which is basically problem solving and critical thinking) and for english and maths, every two semesters, they would test us. If you passed, congratulations you move up to the next class. If you fail. We must ban you from ever taking (subject) classes again. You have not reached the standard" I failed maths (keep in mind I was a little year 2-er with barely any knowledge

This review is from a student who came to swot shop year 4-6. My brother went from 1-7 and he told me many positive things about the place. As soon as I started going I thought it was a pretty decent place. Alright teachers (some are very good), but the material is something to work on. I wrote the updated selective test, but before that I was practising with the old practise tests. The material is just reused, in fact my brother recognised material from 5 year ago, (yes he is 5 years older than me). This is just wrong and should not be done. When the changes came to the selective test, they barely gave me any help and I was just left to do on my own, the timings are alright. (I was used to go to pre-uni before). But I would not recommend swot shop now because they need to work on their tuition more. I would definitely say there is a better place other than this waste.

If I could give a negative rating I would. For the amount they charge, the teachers are incapable of attending to the needs of individual children. The centre altogether is poor with communication. Half the time where you are trying to call them, no one picks up. Glad I pulled out my child but upset that I wasted my funds and time sending my child here.

I had my three kids were going to this place from Kindy..They passed all the swot shop exams,But I realised these guys did not add any value to them. These people are so rude but teachers are good but not special. The swot shop staff has zero respect to parents(Just talk to the receptionist to get an idea). They do not care about students' mental health or their safety ,also very unorganised.Bunch of outdated people who were not able to do anything during lock down period. They could not even able to arrange any online classes. There are so many better options around the area..Do not waste your money and kids time with these guys..

The level of teaching in class is very different than the internal test. On checking further I found the material taught in class is very outdated and the internal test is of recent updated level. So all the parents are paying for each outdated class material. Children who always gets all questions right in all classes may not succeed to next level. Hence classes look waste of time as they are not at the same level as internal test. I would recommend to give their entry test every year to check your children level and if they make it that means he/ she is doing good. But never take the admission and pursue your studies at home to save the money and time for the outdated classes. So basically use their entry test annually as feedback and continue your practise of English and mental ability at home.i would advice SWOT shop to check their Strength of their annual test, Weakness of their classroom system to use the Opportunity provided by parents who want to fullfill their child's curiosity and Test themselves against the best but not rest on the laurels of the hardwork done by the parents and children at home but try to improve and put some hardwork in teaching students in the class so there is no need for the internal test. Hope this review is helpful for all readers.

I have been going to The Swot Shop for more than five years and I have definitely learnt a lot. A lot of people say that its too expensive, but most of the subjects are $50 per lesson which isn't much compared to other tutoring centers. Other people say that The Swot Shop only takes a selected few smart " students
