Tennant Creek Swimming Pool

By far my favourite spot for a coffee and breakfast when it's available in the whole of NT. And a warm and friendly chat which almost always lifts my spirits. I would give them more stars if I could. The staff are beyond friendly and genuinely care about their customers and the services they provide. The hours however are limited. Let's hope the council provides more flexibility as it'll be a shame to let go of this beautiful service in a town without any cafes. However this monopoly in no way compromises the quality of the food and the service provided. I wish you ladies all the best.

Only person swimming on a 'winter' afternoon. 30 degrees air temp, 18 degrees water temp. Very clean pool, facility and water, highly recommended!

When does the pool start opening for summer times??

It's very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. Lawn is mowed and clean. The shower area can be made better/ shower wall cleaned.

Great value for money and two pools (one for the little ones as well as a water play) one great thing is you pay once and can come in and out all day that day. Cafe offers great meals at good prices and the staff are very friendly

I have been going to the pool early in the morning, before I go to work.I cannot speak highly enough of Peter, who has been opening the pool early in the morning.Peter is such a hard worker and he always maintains the pool in tip top condition.The Tennant Creek Swimming Pool is a real asset to our community and the grounds would be the perfect setting for a family gathering.

Very kind and friendly staff. The pool heater was vandalized before we arrived so unfortunately the pool was not heated... more like a fridge. But that isn't the owners fault! A great swim. The pool was very clean and in very good condition. You could tell the owner takes pride in his business. The change rooms were spacious and well looked after.

When I was holidaying with my mother,when we visited the local Swimming Centre for a quick swim. There was so many school kids on that day. It must've been a weekend. We visited the local Mine Company,where my dad was working as a Handyman there. He was living in the workers huts at that time. When my dad had finished his time at the Mining Company,we came home by his car back to Murray Bridge,where my Uncle & Aunt were living there. I suddenly caught the Chicken pox. I had to stay indoors for a few days until I was well enough to travel back home to the seaside suburb of Christies Beach. I found out that it was caused by the local Swimming Pool,not cleaned out or sanitised properly. When we arrived back home again,I had to be vaccinated against the disease by my local GP. Ever since then,I have NEVER been close to the Swimming Centres. It seems that my skin has been sensitive towards Chlorine water,but when I walk in salted water, like the ocean,I have no problems. I wish there was a salted Swimming Pool in our area for people who have sensitive skin. Salt water is much better for everyone's health. Although it would be expensive,it would benefit people who have sensitive skin. Salt therapy is also good for Asthmatics.
