Ceara is a highly experienced and very patient teacher. My children loved her reading, and fun and creative activities she shared. She maximises the children's learning by incorporating their interests and flows with them. It was such an eye opener for me to see there is SO many fun ways children can learn reading and writing and importantly exploring language through play.

The CHALK Crew Books Alive program of weekly workshops for pre-school children has been created by Ceara McManus.A variety of fun pre-reading tasks ignite the children’s curiosity to focus on sounds, pronunciation and spelling of key words.The children enjoy the reinforcement of language during each workshop while using different media, including cloud dough, blocks and vegetable alphabet soup.The CHALK Crew offers the program to small groups and adapts it as required for specialised individual tuition. My girls absolutley LOVED these workshops. They came home excited to tell me everything they had done that day. As a mum, I love the fact that they get to explore their creative side while also learning valuable skills such as literacy and teamwork. We have been delighted with Ceara and would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. Her sessions are very well organised and creative and she sends us updates after each class. Our son adores her!! He is always keen to go to see her and more importantly we have been noticing a big improvement in his speech and literacy in general: he keeps spelling words he sees around and has gained a genuine interest for books and stories.
