Everything sourdough. Tried the donut and brownie, they both taste incredibly good, not too sweet but full of flavor.Will definitely back to try those mouthwatering banana cakes.

I've been buying bread here since the late 1980's. It's still the best sourdough in Melbourne, even with the advent of many new boutique bakeries down here in the inner south.

Yum. Seriously, their sweet treats are delicious and they don't charge a fortune. I am not keen on sourdough so didn't think I'd like this place. These guys are great bakers. Everything I've tried I've loved. Will make it a regular trip from now on.

The best REAL sourdough in all of Melbourne! We have tried every single loaf and they are all baked to perfection time and time again. Great variety of delicious homemade cakes and pastries to choose from - it's always best to get in early as they often sell out after lunch. They also make special Christmas cakes in the lead up to the festive season which have proved to be a hit with friends and family

This place is filled with history and character with a register from the 1950s, am oven from the the 30s and a shop that is equally steeped in history. The muffins are light, fluffy, flavoursome and perfect. The sourdough is incredible and I almost ate the whole loaf the day I bought it.

This is a wake up call.Firebrand has been a family standby for 30 years. Casalinga, pink dip, and cheese is a family tradition. Firebrand's bread has been the gold standard for three families, since 1994.Sadly, the quality has slipped shockingly - only recently. We all only got back to Oz since the pandemic ended. The crust and crumb is way, way below their standards. And it's not a one-off. Their pastries are also a worry.Really sad to see.

10 stars, please don't change, amazing bread. My Partner and I have stopped buying bread from Supermarkets or other chains that promote their product to be good for you since we found this little hidden gem. We travel 1 hour every couple of weeks to get bread supplies from them and freeze them. I can't imagine the hard work behind the scenes to offer consistently a genuine artisan bread like this, so many business start to cut corners or buy easy mix products, so a massive thank you for everything that you guys do.
