Roof Seal

After initial booking date was set, three weeks before I was contacted to confirm the date. They had changed the date by a week, that’s ok things happen. However the day before the job I thought I better check they were still coming as I had taken the morning off work so I could speak with them. I spoke with a manager who said straight up. No they won’t. It will be the next day but would ring the tradesman to confirm and call back in 5 minutes. 2 hours later I had to ring back again as they had not called me. Spoke with the same manager who seemed surprised I was upset he could not be bothered to call back. He confirmed they would not be showing up on the agreed day and would be there the next. I asked when they were going to tell me about this and his response was basically we weren’t going to tell you.When I originally spoke with the salesman they would prep the roof day one. Spray day three to give the bedding time to settle. This turned into prep day one. Spray day four. The roof needed a minimum of two days before you could walk on it. My new air con was being installed in two days so just in time I suppose, but the four days would have been better. However when the drain for the air con was put into down pipe all the old and new bits of mortar had to be cleaned out. More bits were found in the gutters and other down pipes. The one they clearly removed when cleaning was left with its brackets hanging off.The paint covering stones and plants in my front yard where equipment was cleaned was just an added bonus I guess.The card in my letter box saying my property had been inspected by their quality inspector and received a satisfactory job shows you exactly what they think is satisfactory. I sent an email explaining my disappointment in dealing with them. It went to the manager I originally spoke with and he was as dismissive in the email as he was on the phone.I thought that dealing with a company that’s been around for so long they would be professional and worth the expense. They were far from professional and so I am doubtful it’s worth the expense.

I was a subcontractor for roof seal I completed a job for them it's been over 3 weeks and I still haven't received payment the client was happy with my work and paid roof seal but apparently their hands are tied when it comes to paying me. At the end of the day I've got workers to pay, 2 kids to feed and a 3rd kid on the way. If this issue isn't resolved I'll be seeing you guys in small claims court and I'll be helping everyone you guys have ripped off by doing free roof reports and sending them through to vcat and the accc.Your guys reasoning for not paying me was for other jobs I haven't completed but haven't paid me for my first completed job.The salesman peter ignores my phone calls and blatantly lied aboutinspecting one of my jobs on the 1st of may in ferntree gully even though I was there the whole day. And won't pay me because of this so called inspection that didn't happen.They have blocked everyone on Facebook who has given them a bad review and made it so people are unable to leave reviews at all very dodgy company.

I had a partial roof installation.I would not use this company again.Not only were they 2 months late with the installation but in so doing they damaged and misaligned my satellite dish. I had to have this repaired at my own expensive as Roof Seal refused to acknowledge that they had caused the damage.I am a disabled 76 years old and they expected me to get on my roof to confirm what damage I said they had caused.The people I communicated with at Roof Seal were unsympathetic and wouldn't consider even a compromise to pay even part of the cost of repairs. They totally denied having caused the damage.

Great experience all round with Roof seal conducting a site inspection with 2 days of my initial enquiry, and completing work within 4 months. Not bad given how supply chain lead times have been.Inspector/quoter was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable, and only took about an hour one evening.Roofer was punctual, worked hard to meet his deadline - washed and cleaned the roof, replaced 150 broken tiles, and applied the coating all within three and a half days.Would definitely recommend Roof seal to anyone with aged roofs or roofs in general disrepair.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Had Roof Seal come out to quote around 12 years ago for roof capping. Salesman refused to only quote for the roof capping and only quoted for an entire roof renovation also, which they quoted at around $14,000. We only ended up paying another company around $2,000 for just the capping, which was on par with other quotes and has held up amazingly. As a now 19 year old house, the capping has not needed redoing, and the roof has remained untouched. When the other companies quoting never stepped foot in our house (why would they), the pushy Roof Seal salesman forced himself inside and it took us forever to get him to leave. Not only an expensive quote, but an entirely pushy process. As an added frustration, salesman said they would give us a deal" of $12

Would never use this company again, for all the reasons listed on the other one-star reviews. Paid my deposit 21st of December 2021, didn't hear back (took a lot of chasing to schedule my roof), took until May 2022 to begin (still not complete as of the 19th) despite being quoted February... They sprayed my facade which will require a touch-up and ripped out half of an established tree (and damaged another) in my backyard. I have never paid so much money for such a poor service. Incredibly disappointed. *Oh, and they told me they installed two wirlybirds (costing $1,000 total). I can't see them and they haven't shown me a photo, so pretty sure they're not up there. I'll check tomorrow to confirm. Happy to be proven wrong. *They didn't install them but have offered to.

Roof Seal quote was very close to another we received for the same work and because they had done a roof for us back in the 1990s, we went with them. They cleaned the roof, repaired the ridgecaps, sealed and painted ... we should be good now for the next 20 years! Last winter's rainy weather put them behind schedule; periodically they did check back with us and let us know approx date(s) they expected to do our work. This project was, thankfully, not urgent! Communication was good. We are very happy with the end result.

Had our roof restored. Absolute jokeHave had them outat least 3 times to fix it. One time to completely redo it. Now they not returning my calls when it's leaking AGAIN. Would never recommend them to anyone.

We definitely wouldn't recommend Roof Seal! From what the original Salesman who inspected our roof promised us to what actually happened was two different things! Instead of taking 3 to 4 days to repair our roof it took 6 days as the original repairs were quoted wrongly! We had workers arriving whenever they wanted and whatever time suited them! No communication and no organisation, when we had workers booked in and rearranged our morning no one showed up so we had to chase up the company to find out what was happening! Turns out if a worker cancels or isn't available they won't let you know even though we were paying thousands of dollars! They constantly messed us around and have no customer service skills as they only care about the money! We called the company to complain but they don't care! Even the guy who inspected our roof after the repairs showed up unannounced and was so rude when I told him it wasn't a good time! We had plenty of other repairs done at our house previously but we have never experienced such terrible service! It's not worth the money or the stress! Very unprofessional!(FYI- Roof Seal can keep making up excuses for their shocking customer service and lack of communication but the facts don't lie and there is about 10 customers who have given this company a 1 star review in the last 12 months or so which doesn't look good for any company especially when we are paying so much money for a good service!)
