I went in to source some fabrics and was extremely put off by how condescending the woman at reception was which caused me to exit very rapidly. It seems that they judge their clientele very superficially and favoured a white middle aged woman over myself and my colleagues. There's plenty of other up market fabric stores in Melbourne which offer great fabrics without the belittling attitude.

Only go into Marco if you want to feel like an inconvenience and nuisance. I was the only customer. The only sales assistant met my greeting with I was just trying to have something to eat". I apologised and said I could look around myself but she got up to help me. When I explained that I was looking for ideas to cover a few items of furniture I offered to show photos of said furniture in case that would help. The woman responded with "everyone else shows me photos so you may as well". I left and went to Warwick. Impeccable service there."
