The Great Ocean Walk
Fantastic walk from Johanna Beach To Milanesia Beach (approximately 20.5km return). Will need to be reasonably fit due to some steep inclines and unlevel terrain but if if you enjoy a challenge I recommended a low to moderate run.

The Great Ocean Walk
Quite a fantastic bit of hidden coastal beach. Super Powerful waves and current relentlessly pounding the beach meant the sound of the surf could be heard a couple kilometers away, all day and night. The beach was empty except for a couple local fishermen. The sand and walking paths are beautifully preserved in complete natural setting. This beach and the surrounding community are about as polar opposite as as you can get from NYC ... sketchy mobile service, no data acces, completely natural beach surrounded by farm land and green rolling hills with patchy forests, dirt roads and sandy paths. Absolutely exquisite experience that is near the top of my need to revisit again list.

We did the world famous 110km iconic Great Ocean Walk in two trenches! First half in 4 days from the Apollo Bay official point to Aires River. Then the next 4 days to Port Campbell. Due to the fame, quite a few companies offer glamming facilities, picked up and drop off daily. I have done both the daily car shuffle style and pack carry style. Each had their own attractions!! With the daily car shuffle living in accommodation, I had the extra enjoyment of the different landscapes! Pack carrying allow me to enjoy the exclusive campsites just for pack carriers, (need to book and pay in advance), mostly equipped with the toilets with a view!! I have seen koalas through it, as well as rugged coastline below it!! I can’t choose between the two! So I did them all!! What a sense of achievement when you put a tick at the end of it!! Beware of snakes during the warmer months by the plenty in the area!!! The tide level times of Parker’s inlet before the lighthouse need to be observed! I don’t remember having issue crossing it 5 years ago on pack carry. This time, we had to turn back and car shuffle across as the tide was one meter deep at its lowest and I am not a good swimmer as well as height challenged!!

Only did a very small portion of this walk but can definitely say it would be one hell of a trek. The walk's like 100km and has plenty of campsites along the trail so I can imagine it would be quite a while before you'd finish it. The scenery is absolutely fantastic with some incredible lookouts along the way.

The Great Ocean Walk
The Great Ocean Walk is simply amazing. It varies from farmland, beach walks, sandy trails in the brush, manicured stone trails and cliff top access in places. Some of the most amazing views can be had on this walk and you need to experience it to believe it. I've done the entire walk. It's advised to walk East to West. Campgrounds are available (most are carry in, some have road access). Walking is free, campgrounds are $32 per night including water. Research the section of the walk you're going to do, some are really hard with a lot of climbing, others are fairly gentle. There are accessible portions here and there.

The Great Ocean Walk
Amazing track!! But for do all I suggest at least 6 nights, no 4 like me. The view is amazing, and the nature is amazing too. The campsites are really quiet. I think is better with some beans in the campsites, becouse the people do with a tour or agency are OK, but who do the whole track by himself may be annoying for that. Anyway, is great, really great ocean walk.

We did a small section of the walk and it's absolutely amazing with breathtaking scenary along the coast line! The tides at Malensia beach can be quite unexpected especially around the Creek as walking towards the beach.
