Took part in a 6 week ‘Draw paint and sip’ class. Great studio space, lovely team and the mentoring by the art teacher was excellent. Met some great people also in the class and had fun each week getting our creative and fun juices going.

I attended the art classes as a support worker for my client. My client thoroughly enjoyed her experience and has been back for a second time. The group was very inclusive and I was impressed by how the instructors were accommodating and flexible for my client.I highly recommend this course.

Excellent experience for a watercolour class. Everyone is very kind and they take their time to answer individually any question you may have. They provided everything from paper and tape, to different kind of brushes and pigments, so the only thing you need to bring is a good attitude and willing to learn and play with colours. The only thing i guess was missed is something more technical such as what is the differences between paper types (cold press, hot press, grms, etc.) and type of brushes. Definitely worth to give yourself the opportunity to learn and practice different tips for painting.

I recently did a eight week course on abstract art though Adelaide Art Classes. It was brilliant! The instructor Joe led us through different techniques and styles within the abstract school, starting with sketching and moving onto collage work and oil panting. His advice and teachings were invaluable and changed my whole outlook on not just the creation of art but also taught me how to alter my traditional thought patterns and add innovation and problem solving to other aspects of my life. The course was structured yet we had the freedom to explore and create in ways individual to our taste and interest. Joe gave us activities and advice on what we were doing but always left a lot of space for us to develop our creativity. He showed us the work of prominent abstract artists to support his teachings which I found really helpful. Before starting the course I was a little apprehensive as I haven’t done much art before and I thought everyone else would be very serious artists. This wasn’t the case at all! The experience level was mixed, a few people like me who were basically beginners and a few who had dabbled in art before. Joe spent time individually with us all so everyone was always improving and building on what they already knew. On top of this all the other people taking to course were so lovely! I couldn’t wait to get to class and relax with a (complementary) glass of champagne and talk and laugh whilst creating art! Jacqueline, the owner of the business, was present the whole time and was amazing at setting a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The studio was beautiful as was her garden (for one class some of us sat and drew outside). Honestly I cannot recommend these classes highly enough. My love of art has been revived and I feel like I have become a more creative person (I’ve started carrying a sketchbook with me and will pull it out whenever I’m feeling particularly artistic). Thank you Jacqueline and Joe!

I have been to two Adelaide Art Classes so far and I look forward to attending many more; I am thoroughly enjoying the time. Artist teacher Joe Felber provides enough individual tuition to encourage student’s creativity whilst referencing other art-master’s styles. I have found the students friendly when we are sharing a glass of champagne and the atmosphere is very relaxed and fun. As a beginner I find it encouraging other students are at different levels. Ultimately, I enjoy the Zen feeling that overcomes me as when I have a paint brush or pencil in my hands I relax immediately.
