I don’t know how this place can treat animals like this. I saw a dog clearly feeling bad on the display. This place is disgusting

I would give 0 stars if I could. Yesterday I approached the staff of this pet store because of the conditions that the birds are kept in. As you can see from the photos attached the cage is covered in weeks worth of droppings - that has dried so much it is dusty and cemented to the bars of the cage. The water bowl had bird droppings in it as well. This is not the first time I have seen this pet store keep birds in this condition and as you can see from other reviews, they not only neglect the birds but also keep rabbits and dogs in poor environments as well. Yesterday I decided to speak up and query as to why they are kept this way. Initially I asked how much each bird was being sold for, there was no sign on the cage explaining what breed, age, sex or price for these birds - literally nothing at all on the cage except for weeks worth of droppings. I was informed that each bird was being sold for between $500 to $700 per bird. I then asked when was their cage cleaned last - immediately the young male staff member became defensive, and loudly interrupted my question with this morning

This place can never be recommend. There are animals suffering. The dogs are locked in cages all day. You can see their misery. The other day my friend saw a dog feeling sick inside a cage, she spoke with a employee he told her notTo worry and clearly the dog was not fine. She was not the first one to complain.

Absolutely appalled by the conditions these pets were kept in, especially the fish. I don't have a lot of knowledge for the other types of animals that are sold but the treatment of the betta fish is just downright awful.First of all they are kept in extremely small garish looking 'tanks' with nothing to block their view of one another. I understand that betta fish are hard to stock considering they all need be separate but i've seen aquarium stores keep their fish in large jars which look much better than the condition these poor bettas were in.On that note the bettas looked terribly sad with dull colours, stressed fins, lethargic with little to no reaction when I waved my finger at them and many had what looked like cases of swim bladder. The stressed fins are caused by what I think to be over flaring, not only are they looking directly at each other but they also have brightly coloured gravel and well as the lids. These are known to stress out bettas and seems to be the majority of the gravel they stock! If you purchased your betta from here than I am more than willing to bet that it died within the year if you were an inexperienced owner, fish abuse is often overlooked but I just can't stand the mistreatment of bettas! Save yourself from trouble and buy from a reputable breeder online or go to a specialised aquarium store that actually cares about its fish.

I purchased a small bag of their “oat” hay for my bunny for $12, as I had run out and was waiting for an online delivery. The hay had a weird smell, and basically consisted of oat STRAW (not the nutritious dried green oaten hay) plus a variety of other unidentifiable plants or weeds.Needless to say my bun wouldn’t touch it, and who knows if there were any toxic plants in it? Definitely wasn’t pet food for small animals as sold. Feel ripped off, and my bunny had to go without her ESSENTIAL food until I could get more. Luckily she didn’t get any dangerous digestive problems as a result

The way this shop is treating these animals is completely cruel and disrespectful.Every time I pass by the shop to see the animals, I always see the dogs in that little plastic / glass cages that are so sad, and also the fish are not living in proper conditions (none of the animals are). The birds don't have much space in their cages (there are two cages that have approximately 5-10 birds each, and the cage is little for the amount of birds in there) and it's the same with the bunnies..I really wish I could just buy / adopt all the animals to get them out of there, but if I do that I will just give more money to the shop to keep on going, which they don't deserve.

The way this shop treats its animals is criminal.- two weeks ago, puppies were heard barking and whimpering at 8am on a Sunday, two hours before opening. Are there being left in glass cages in the closed shopping centre overnight??- puppies are constantly walking in their own urine, with wet legs as evidence- noticed Facebook posts on their page about puppies in first week of December (from 2 December) that I then saw are still living in those tiny glass cages today (27 December). That’s over three weeks as tiny babies living for people to gawk at but never get to touch. Absolutely heartbreaking.- baby turtles in a tank in nothing but water with small rocks covering the bottom of the tank - no heating, no sensory elements or plants etc.- axylotls in seperate tank with same conditions. Each was injured, missing feet etc. (photos below)- fish close to death in goldfish and guppie tanks- four or five rabbits in each tiny cage- multiple miserable looking birds in each cageConsidering how highly trafficked this shooing centre is, and the multiple laws surrounding pet shop operation, I’m surprised that this shop is still operational. Westfield needs to do better and revoke their lease.Do not purchase an animal from here - they are likely to have severe behavioural issues and unfortunately illness, also.

I passed yesterday and they have 3Japanese spitz. They don't put water and the space is very small for them.

Absolutely Disgusting how they treat the animals here. The dogs are constantly looking upset and hungry and crying all day long. They are in tiny enclosures that keep them from living at their fullest potential. The staff members carry these animals with no care and treat them like rag dolls. The bird cages are filthy and they look like they’re wings haven’t been clipped properly. I have reported them to the RSPCA to try get these animals out of there and give them the life they deserve. I was reduced to tears when i walked past and saw the sheer state of this store. If anyone else can report them to RSPCA then please do and help these poor animals.
