The Public Cammeray
The service was subpar. We were greeted with a hostility. As regular customers who have been dining and drinking at The Public since the open, we have seen the service at the venue slowly deteriorate over time and we will no longer be spending our money. As someone who has venue managed large hospitality venues for the past 9 years, I’d be extremely disappointed if my staff treated customers the way we were treated.

Great venue. Bright, clean and spacious. Menu is solid and staff are helpful and attentive - great vibe for families on a weekend but also a nice spot for dinner/drinks after work.Recently hired out the function space at the back and were really impressed with the menu options and set up - guests all loved it. Will be back regularly.

Best quality pub food ever. Never had a bad meal. Highest quality ingredients. Great owner. They’ll even do a takeaway if you ask! Excellent wine list too. The old great vibe is back in Cammeray again - since the new owner took over! Excellent music too!

I can cook a steak at home for a fifth of the price and in a sixth of the time. Anywhere else they'd at the very least offer you a glass of wine for making someone wait an hour for a simple pub meal but not at The Public. This mob has enough of my money, will not be returning.

I went in with low expectations.I was pleasantly surprised: daily food specials, check. Non-alcoholic drink options, check. A live guitarist/vocalist adding atmosphere, check. A relaxed vibe, check. Friendly & Chatty Bartender, check.I enjoyed my dinner and drinks.I'll be back!

We stopped in on a sunday afternoon and it has awesome food! We had 2 steaks and a lamb shank and all was delicious! The vibe is also really nice and relaxing! Definitely recommend

Really liked the food, beef was grass fed, wine list was impressive, actually better than most north sydney venues which was surprising. Clean and lots of space, good variety of beers. Will be back when I’m in this neck of the woods. Good looking staff.

We popped into The Public last night for a quick Friday night drink, but stayed on for dinner.The place was buzzing, food was great and I don’t know why we have never eaten here before, but it’s now my go-to place!Loved the cocktails and the only down side was I could not Shazam the awesome mixes of songs playing! Keep up the good work guys! Cammeray actually has a cool place to drink at! We will be back!
