A terrible school making fun of students. Do not recommend unless you want to set your kid up for failure. Lots of students leave everyday feeling depressed and sad because of the teachers

I finished Year 12 in 1997 when my beloved Pies finished 10th. Unfortunately, the former Premier Jeff Kennett decided to close all the surrounding schools which meant that when I was in my final year of high school there were over 1500 students. However, all of my teachers were extremely dedicated. I was extremely unwell weighing only 35kgs, was severely iron deficient and was struggling to complete my studies. I was told by my G.P to drop out of school with only two months left. I will never forget the support of all my teachers Ms. Shiel, Mr. Bristow, Mr. Anderson-Brown, Ms. Abbey and Ms. Ford. Ms. Ford was my History Revolutions teacher who believed in me when I did not believe in myself. I achieved an A on the History exam, my final exam, and I was the only student in both History classes to do so. I also achieved an A+ (100%) perfect score on the Legal Studies exam. I would not have achieved this without all the assistance and encouragement I received. When I came to the school for the final time, Ms. Ford told me to never doubt myself and assured me my A was not a fluke. I have never forgotten those words which have carried me through some very difficult times since then. I am not sharing my results to boast, however I feel this was a remarkable achievement given how unwell I was. It is a testament to my teachers and my peers who guided me and did not give up on me. I want to let anyone know who is struggling, especially in Year 12, to please ask for help early and please do not ever give up, see it through to the end like I did. I hope by sharing this review and my story from my time at Wantirna College, it can inspire and motivate others. Just because a GP in a white coat with all the letters of the alphabet after their name tells you to withdraw, do not listen to them, tell them politely where to go. The 12th of November 1997, the day I sat my final exam is the day I told the negative voice in my head, the black dog" to go away because I am not listening to you anymore. I extend my gratitude to Ms. Ford and all my teachers who supported me during a very challenging time. Great teachers change lives. Thank you."

this school DOES NOT take education seriously. I have recently dropped down from this school and continued my journey elsewhere, as some teachers fail their students over the absolute dumbest things! no respect whatsoever, or communication. I have been to this school since I was in year 7, im 17 now. I do not recommend bringing your child here coming from a students point of view. and to anyone seeing this from Wantirna, especially teachers I hope you see this and improve on your teaching instead of ruining a Childs career.

May I suggest making the lockers bigger? Too small, can't even fit maybe 25 people at once. The toilets near the uniform shop stink. Never have I ever seen such horrible toilets. Overall, I do say, most things at this school seem good. Let me add something. I heard that this school was funded 11.2 million dollars. If you were funded that much, you should be spending it wisely, not just spending it on 'Coffee Machines' and 'Bigger Offices', you need to think about the students, study environment and most importantly the learning resources!!

This place makes me physically and mentally sick. I don't see how you can stuff up something as simple as a school but amazingly you did almost everything wrong. Thankfully there was a saving grace for this hellish place, I find that the best experience Is walking home from school, but alas even the best moments don't last for as soon as I step through my door I am reminded of homework and that tomorrow is another day. Avoid this hole at all costs! Do not recommend!

The problem is that the school has to shut down toilets due to vaping or inappropriate interactions. Like, the doors are literally closed, you cant even ask a teacher to open it for you so youd have to go to a far one.

Tremendously outrageous! The teachers are absolutely insane! One told me that one of the teachers were mocking a student and had made fun of them. That is not how you do your job. Another told me that teachers embarrass students and make them feel unworthy, ashamed, useless, more overly worthless. Some teachers, or vice principles need to be more appropriate during class. The students are not their play dolls. You absolutely do NOT mess around with them, do not shout at them, it causes stress and anxiety. When entering a classroom, I quickly see these 3 common factors which nearly every single class has in common.-Students are too noisy, shout in class, annoy people (throw objects or screams). Students are also playing games when not supposed to, or doing something irrelevant than the thing they’re supposed to.-Teachers (or Substitute teachers) just sit at their desk, waiting for the class to end. Some teachers don’t even give a dang about their students, lesson plan and the overall environment of the classroom. They just sit there, look at their phones or look at their computers.-Overall class behaviour. I can’t believe that classrooms have such noise and disruption. Students are meant to be kind towards teachers, but I have once saw many students being disruptive towards teachers. Shouting, screaming, banging against the wall like they’re about to break. No teacher should go through this. (Except the ones who mock students, which I will not point out.)Another unreasonable and outrageous thing I have found is that students are very ignorant and rude towards other students. What I’ve seen so far is just absolutely madness.-Bullying. Bullying is one of the few things I see everyday. There is just no stop to it. Either students push and punch other students, or students shout and rage at students. Some are just a total pain in the back. They just won’t listen, and if you try to interfere, you’ll probably get injured as well.Side Note: I feel like most teachers don’t even care about whether students get hurt or not, most just watch as they get bullied or injured.-Behavioural status of the overall school.Teachers, students, staff are all okay in this area, but its whether they CHOOSE to be nice or not. The school is already corrupted, there is so much swearing and stealing and so much more. Some students are just rude. They don’t care about the school, they don't care about the students nor the teachers. They’re a psychopath. Mentally ill.-School grounds. Why do I always see rubbish and things such as banana peels or fresh bread on the floor? Are students littering and wasting good food? Is that it? How do fully grown students, who are capable of so much still litter, waste food and throw food around? Is this what the world has come to? Is our world just a dumpsite, where you can just throw whatever you like on the ground?-Overall, this schools students, teachers and staff need to learn to have manners, which I know some students do and some teachers and staff members do, but to all of you students who are disrespectful and disruptive, you’re just unsatisfied with who you are and this world you live in. So please, even if you don’t like it, just be respectful towards people who do like it, and people who wish to become what they truly desire.

I am not one to read reviews however my experience has left much to be desired after sending my child there for the past 3 years. After raising some concerns with the school I would expect some sort of communication only to pick my child up in tears after school to find out that the teacher has in fact joined in with another student picking/ bullying. After calling - principal unavailable and then getting on to the teacher who ran that class- all I got was a sorry I probably should not have done that" to say I am disappointed and disgusted is an understatement. I am yet to receive any communication from the principal in regards to my child moving schools only leaves me to think the care for students is at an all time low with their priorities clearly elsewhere!UNFORTUNATE I HAVE TO GIVE EVEN 1 STAR!!!"
