Everytime I came to Polkobin I always tried Oishii. They open late, good food and fair price. They have variety of dishes including Thai and Japanese. We had Panang Duck curry, Thai beef salad and tom yum which were all so yummy.

Great menu range. Has indoor and outdoor seating with ample parking available. One of the best Thai restaurants in Hunter Valley. They are always busy so do book in advance. Highly recommended.

My friend and I came here for dinner. We ordered the satay chicken and edamame for entree. Both were lacking flavour. Satay chicken tasted like it was boiled then the satay was added after and edamame were cooked perfectly but not enough salt. I ordered the prawn tepen Yaki which came with rice and miso. It was an usual meal. Lots of prawns! Miso was good but there was no need for the rice as the dish had no sauce. My friend ordered the pad Thai and she said it lacked flavour. For dessert we ordered the deep fried icecream. The icecream was rock hard. All we were esting was the batter and sauce. What made our visit here unpleasant was the 'over friendly' staff. It was like they were pushing us to order and cleaned our table as soon as we ate. It felt like they were rushing us. We ate everything and out the door in 45min.

We've been here on numerous occasions and each time enjoyed our meals. However, this time we attended the service was cold and the food was just average. Open for lunch and dinner. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Located in the Roche Estate. Licensed restaurant or you can BYO wine.

Ordered some starters (Spring rolls, Prawn Tempura, Ededame, Gyoza, Chicken satay) and were delish, but mains (Pad Thai) and Sashimi, Black Pepper Beef were a huge disappointment. Will not be rushing back...

We ordered takeaway fromOishii this evening, including one chicken green curry. Unfortunately, for ~$27, this was so disappointing. Upon opening, it was covered in oil which had separated from the remainder of the sauce and was sitting on top of the dish (see pictures attached). Really disappointing dish and sadly, it was mostly inedible.Edit: we went back the night after we received this green curry, and showed them pictures of it. The staff were clearly surprised by it at first and took a photograph of my pictures, but then, discussed it openly among themselves in front of us for a few minutes, and then said that nothing could be done about it before discussing it more internally - again, very disappointing.

Monday lunch for a group of 12… the service was quick, the food was flavorsome … but 4 of us ordered chicken pad Thai… there was all tofu and 2 to 3 pieces of chicken. I returned my dish and got another which was a major improvementMy fiends ended up having an below average meal as they didn’t speak up This should not be the case. Disappointing experience
