MR Brownie Rooftop Hotel
Pretty overrated I guess! We were amazed by the customer service and entrée we ordered and had high expectations for our mains but we were quite disappointed! Butter chicken parma was just an average parma with sweet butter chicken simmer sauce. The punjabi kadhi we ordered was very watery. They really need to work hard on their pizzas, bit more generous filling and crust wasn’t fluffy enough.

We ordered slow cooked lamb curry, indian fried chicken and rice. They were all well presented and delicious. Rooftop dining area looked fully occupied by 6:30pm on Thursday night. There were more seatings available inside and balcony on level 1. We sat on level 1 balcony, there were no other patrons there but staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommended

MR Brownie Rooftop Hotel
This is some of the best Indian food I've eaten in Melbourne. Yes, there is a twist to the menu, but rest assured the flavours are all as authentic as it gets. The venue also has a great vibe, and I personally thought the music was fun. Not meant to be taken too seriously, and yes very reminiscent of cheesy Brit pub music circa 70s to the 90's. Love it.

Ordered Paan Martini, Mozarella sticks, paneer slider, Yellow lentil, Paneer tikka masala with roti and Masala pizza. Paan Martini had an extremely strong flavour (not alcohol content). The yellow lentil was extremely bland and the roti was more like paratha. The pizza had great flavour and quantity. Customer service was great. Ambience was nice, just a little loud.

Beautiful Indian food with staff so sweet and service quite quick. The pricing for food is quite suitable for the quantity you’re getting too. Ordered tandoori chicken which was superb, butter chicken which was beautiful with rice and the cauliflower which all went so well with each other.

There’s an array of seating areas to select from but we booked into the rooftop for 8pm figuring we might get some impressive sunset action. Admittedly the rooftop view is largely powerlines but it still had a certain atmosphere.Service was pleasant and we ordered drinks which were prettily presented. The butter chicken parma itself was on the small side but came with a mound of chips. Husband tried a chicken curry, a lamb and dahl. We also got the samosa chaat to share and while I was keen to try a butter chicken pie this rendered us rather full. It’s a shame I no longer work in the area because I could definitely see myself spending a lot of time on this rooftop of a Friday night

A buzzing multi-level British-Indian pub with a rooftop bar, serving great fusion food. The butter chicken pie is something to die for. Its lip smacking and a recommended item on the menu. Other items on the menu are great and are a hit on the taste buds.

Great place for fancy cocktails and bite size food. I would not order typical Indian food in main course. Don’t try paneer sliders and ball of happiness.

Wow, give this place six stars out of five.Friendly service on arrival, good array of seating.It was originally the menu that drew us there.Wait times for food were quite good.The food, pretty awesome:Fried cauliflower: excellentButter chicken Parma: excellent, well cooked, nice strong flavour.Butter chicken pie: one of the best.Would highly recommend and I will visit again.
