Great little cafe for both takeaway coffee and eating in breakfast. I had a delicious bagel sandwich with sausage, egg, cheese and homemade relish.. Very nice! Service was friendly and the food was delivered to the table hot and on time..

Truly is my 'local'. Great coffee, great staff, fabulous fare. I love the seasonal fruit danishes and the pastrami salad sandwich was a true revelation.

This restaurant is amazing. It is only open for dinner on Friday nights. The food is excellent and very well priced. As are the drinks. I sampled a variety of locally manufactured beers. The service is exceptional.

I was in East Geelong to see my son play soccer and feeling hungry. I headed to Local for a rakeaway bite. The service was quick and courteous and hot choclate was hot and chocolatey. It was mid arvo on a Sunday yet there was a good selection of baked goids for sale and the Vegemite scroll and banana bread hit the spot. I recommend you give Local a whirl.

Ordered an iced mocha and was very watery and couldn’t taste any chocolate, also ordered the egg and sausage roll. I heated itUp when I got home, definitely was not worth the $19.50 I spent for a small iced coffee and the roll. I had to throw out my sausage and egg roll as it wasn’t a pleasant taste. Next time will order a hot coffee to see if it’s nicer.

I got an almond croissant, a mozzarella croissant and a sandwich. Very bad quality of baked goods. They were all soggy and being served for a lot longer than they should be. They tasted stale even though they were supposedly fresh from the morning from their own bakery on Ormond road. Definitely not worth spending $35. Would not recommend to anyone. Never going back again. Disappointing experience.

We go out of the way to get our coffee at Local as it’s reliably good and robust (most places in Geelong serve milky coffee). Pastries also delicious.Sourdough a touch heavy for my liking but I’m there for the coffee.

Whether it's baked goods & coffee in the morning or their summer Enoteca for dinner, you cannot go wrong with a visit to Local. Lovely staff, amazing food and drinks, great atmosphere.

Went there with my uncle Jerka. Amazing lattes, and the fresh bread is so good! I usually go to Funk, but this is worth the trip across town.
