For a quick 3 minute review search meringtons campground quick review on YouTube but if you just want the facts, located just East of Thomson Lake, and around 60km north of Walhalla and Moe in Victoria. It’s at the bottom of a valley, with a fairly steep descent into the campground access by 4WD/AWD and 2WD (in the dry only).Access: Stock 4WD or AWD with clearance, 2WD dry conditions.Service: No phone service on any network.Starlink: Good amount of clear sky to get coverage.Facilities: Undercover area, two drop toilets, and one communal undercover area with seats and tables with fire provisions nearby, well maintained and many grassy spots, suitable even in the wet with dogs permitted as its a state park.

Decent area for camping. More of a motorbike, loud campground, so if that's what your after it's perfect. Good place for a bush party.Don't attempt to get in when it's wet in anything other than 4x4. 2wd okay when dry but your got to be careful. Quite steep.

We called in two days after a long weekend and the place was spotless. A very well set out camping area.

Great camping spot 2wd access but only when dry.Warning! track can get very slippery.DEPI dropped in while we were there and were cleaning up people’s rubbish.Obviously some people have no idea how lucky we are It’s not that hard to clean up after yourself. This is why more and more camping are being closed.

Great for 4wd fun, toilets are a bit gross from a birds nest above it but they were washed down on the Sunday morning

Good open camp ground with formed fire pits and cooking posts. 1 Long drop only and can get a bit busy Most sites have a bit of a small slope but are well grassed

The place is a very nice camping area. There are plenty of grass areas to camp. There are bolards around the place but they don't block access to camper trailers and roof top tents. Fire pits provided are large enough to have a decent fire to keep you warm or cook.

Great views, peaceful & quiet, but youll certainly feel the cold in winter at this spot and a bit of a bonus, it has video camera/Security system!Although that's probably due to the fact there are posted notices from Parks saying- beware of wild dogs

This place is spectacular it's a bit out of the way, so it's normally pretty quietThe drop toilets are very clean, and I saw park rangers nearly every day. The camp ground is really well maintained and really quiet nice to sit back and look at. Or just turn around and look at the amazing scenery the camp ground sits in a pretty steep valley, and there is a beautiful river less than a couple minutes walk away.2wd cars will make it down the track leading in. I'm not so sure about getting back up lol but there's always somebody with a 4x4 close by to lend a hand. There's heaps of 4x4 tracks of various degrees of difficulty. There are plenty of quiet little streams with plenty of trout.
