Spanish World Brisbane

I have been taking Spanish classes with Spanish World for 4 months and already I have noticed a huge improvement in my fluency, vocabulary and grammar. My teacher Monica is great at making me feel relaxed and getting the most out of my lessons. She does an excellent job of tailoring lessons to my specific goals and keeping the lessons interesting and fun. I would recommend Spanish World to anyone wanting to learn Spanish!

Spanish World provides a wonderful environment for those wanting to learn Spanish. For me, they were able to provide a bespoke language service. I am an academic conducting research in Spanish and, with the assistance of Spanish World, I have been able to hone my language skills, as needed, in order to conduct complicated interviews. The lessons were refined for my needs and the educator identified both my strengths and my weaknesses and supported me to improve my oral confidence. Also, the classes were enjoyable. I highly recommend Spanish World!

Signed up for one on one Skype lessons recently, as in class options were not available. I was hoping to revive my past experiences with Spanish. The first class went fine, and while the in class lesson did not provide ample learning, I was given several documents that I was instructed to print out and study. The second class was cancelled due to the teacher being unwell. By the third class, I was feeling under the weather but decided to struggle through and attend as it was a virtual one on one. During the lesson, I had a few questions concerning the structure of sentences and was given a short and seemingly simple explanation that I believed I had understood. When prompted to speak in Spanish about my week I tried my best to verbalise in Spanish but was met with a rude rebuke from Monica, telling me that I was basically speaking nonsense and that she would give me 15 minutes to work on my own and come up with a few sentences based in the present tense. Um, what? Obviously, if I understood the difference, I wouldn’t be “speaking nonsense.” Came to this business expecting a wholesome learning environment that would help me to better understand and speak Spanish but have decided to leave after two classes of what I would consider ridiculous expectations and zero lead or help from an apparent teacher.

I really love that it is tailored to your situation and what you are seeking the Spanish language for, whereas other providers often use the same system regardless of the client needs. I was playing about with learning Spanish after traveling to Spain a few years ago - but I achieved very little on my own. I decided to take the step to seriously learn Spanish (more than a year ago now) when my brother, an expat living in the USA, announced he was to marry a Spanish-speaking Cuban lady.Weekly lessons keep me focused, and I am pleased to say the language is familiar to me now so that I no longer need to translate common words and phrases in my head. Lessons presented are always well planned, and my teacher provides a variety of interesting learning resources and recommendations to continue on with during the week. For me, what is most important is that I very much enjoy the lessons and I continue to want to learn and improve.Muchas gracias!

I have been studying Spanish for four years now. I have gone to many Spanish institutions and programs and although I have learnt decent Spanish I have never fully grasped the communication aspect where I can speak fluently with other people. My job requires me to travel all around the world and by spending a small amount of time in Barcelona I was absolutely in love with the culture and the people. I made it a goal that when I return, I would like to have a great comprehension of the Spanish language. When I found Spanish World, I was amazed with the professionalism Monica is and how different her classes are tailored. By the first class, learning Spanish was not like every other place I’ve been to. I am used to the normal style of learning such as in a classroom or having it all be about the writing aspect. It was nothing like this. It was enjoyable and fun and made me excited to come back. I started to see this as not your average learning. This was unique. I have been taking classes at Spanish World for approximately 2 months and my Spanish vocabulary has improved a lot since my first class. This has helped with my confidence speaking Spanish and wanting to learn new words. The classes are conducted in a relaxed atmosphere and the teacher is very supportive. I have learnt so much through Spanish World Brisbane, and I have enjoyed it as well!I started Spanish lessons as a beginner with barely any experience with the language. My teacher has encouraged me to do more than just learn the language, but to experience more about the cultures of all the Spanish speaking countries.My teacher provides me with grammar skills but with a much stronger focus on learning to speak and interact with her in Spanish.I am really enjoying my lessons and my journey to be a Spanish speaker.
